There are a few optional tombs near the beginning, but for the latest three hours or so that I've played, it's all :popamole:

with Uncharted-style ledge hanging. Oddly enough, the world is persistent, so despite the fact that I have to go down a linear path now I think there might be a freeplay mode after most of the campaign is over for actual goodie hunting.

Or I should just play the first few games, but I tried Tomb Raider proper and its controls dumbfounded me, and there's no Maori husbears I assume. I will get to it eventually. For now, this is worth the 8$ bux because of Jonah. :bounce:

He's quite hard on hard difficulty...

But nothing some LAMs and 20mm ammo couldn't handle...

I've read about a weird bug in this area - if your inventory is full, Doc will keep giving you 500 EXP and an upgrade canister.
It looks that Shifter didn't fix it:
