Spent way too long getting the restoration mod and resolution tweak going but it was clearly worth it for that Obsidian robot dialog.

Numpad instead of arrow keys? HE'S A GODDAMN MANIAC

I use numpad keys as well. 1235 for movement. 4 is jump, 0 is crouch, 8 is reload. Num enter and plus are most commonly used functions besides that (pinky finger reaches those), followed by 7, 6 and 9 in that order. Left-handed people like me don't get into WASD very often, and there's too much empty space around the arrow keys to comfortably reach a lot of additional functions.

I'm right-handed, yet I use the numpad. I use 1238, 0 for crouch, DEL for reload and ENTER for Alt-Fire on weapons. I use Mouse2 for jumping, and I use the mouse with my left hand.

I have a wonderful key config for the Thief games that I can't possibly imagine how to implement with the WASD keys.

I remember trying to play Doom using only the keyboard. It was hell. Arrow keys, CTRL to fire, ALT to strafe, SHIFT to run, you needed to be an octopus to play the game right.

I'm left handed and I have no problem with arrows. Num0 and Num1, Del, End and PgDn, Shift and Ctrl are all immediately accessible.
Num4, Num7 and Enter can also be used for less frequently accessed functions that need to be at hand (like reloading your weapon).

I do use numpad instead of arrows when on my laptop, though.

Games that effectively force you to use WSAD, like Terra Nova are pretty frustrating for a southpaw.

That game looks amazing and hilarious.

Really cool to see what starts as a small village turn into a futuristic sci-fi city.

The Temple of the forgotten god

I see you have been taking your time with this game. IIRC, Temple of the Forgotten God is still not near the halfway point.

It's strange - Icewind Dale 2 is like a blur of places that speed past you one after another.

But in Icewind Dale, in each dungeon, you feel like you are going to be there forever. It's a slow game compared to the sequel. You move through each area, each room lightly, slowly, and taking your time.

I have been taking my time as I fear whats around the corner most of the time. I have never played icewind dale 2 but I think I'm gonna try it when I complete this.

Same here, same here. Icewind Dale took place in really dark dungeons where opening a single door revealed a giant crowd of enemies.

And to make it worse, if you entered into the room all the way, you would find then number of enemies to be three times what you were expecting. And now they all see you, and they all come after you.
