I regret I can only give one :obviously: rating for this.

BTW, you should have Titus up front, as a Paladin in lead is supposed to improve the party's saving throws.
Are you playing the original DOS version? Or does the Legacy option of the remake come with original artwork?
I'm playing The Bard's Tale via glorious Amiga emulation. +M

The emulator's turbo function is quite useful when casting offensive spells that hit 396 berserkers in a row. :M

Heh, I should have recognized it. After all it was the version I completed the game with.
But the Hunter was bugged in the Amiga version. There was an "overflow" bug, where his critical chance would reset every 16th level.

I tried to play BT2 with an Amiga emulator, though, but it was maddening how every time you kicked in a door the game would take a few seconds to load the graphics from disk instead of from memory, so I gave that up.

A game where you play as giant crabs? GOTY.

Are samurais a playable class?

More importantly: Name please?
Who cares about samurais when you got LOBSTERS, CRABS AND BARNACLES, IN A WILD WATER WORLD THAT EXCEEDS ALL HUMAN SENSE.

Also we need a Codex Crab League because I want to see the absolute chaos of 4-player matches online with my own eyes.

Thief 2 sure looks slick using the newest UOP and the recently updated FM loader.
This is Stowaway, a rather mediocre FM, but the outdoors area looks nice and bright, which I don't think I ever could say of a T1 FM.

One of the weakest boss fights I ever experienced, I need to take a longer pause to think of anything that bad.

and good riddance

That was fast, game is more linear and shorter compared to others King's Field games or previous Shadow Tower. Plot is almost the same like in ST1, they just replaced one McGuffin with another. Like most FROM games there are no loadings between zones, they are varied (insect world, water world, two desert world, fog covered zone with invisible enemies... and of course platforming sections despite the fact that your character can't jump).
Game is criticized for lack of music, there are only short tracks played when you get from one zone to another.
People say silence is good for atmosphere but FROM have some good music work in their games so it's a shame they did this.

Bosses are trivial with guns+spells combo, all spells are good in general thanks to their stunlocking feature.
In other games where guns are mere addition they are weak but not in this game, they deliver some serious punch to the enemies.

Oh and camera movements is the slowest from all FROM games iirc. PS2 technical peak, my ass.
One major improvement is ability to unleash more than one attacka at time (yellow orbs about HP bar) and option to keep spare weapon second slot. 2h weapons like big swords and rifles occupy both and need more time to be prepared for next attack.

There is no King's Field system where more STR=slower durability loss. On top of that you often fight in the narrow corridors and anything else than stab attack leads to *CLING!* sounds aka durability loss. It's not like weapons are scarce (or any items in general) unless you walk with empty backpack and have to come back to your stash, which makes monsters respawn. Sounds familiar? Oh and you can use souls to boost your stats, they are closed in containers resembling chess pawns figures.
