That piece of shit did well enough to warrant a sequel? Their hated DMC reboot is a fucking masterpiece compared to this.
DmC got multiple releases. They managed to clean it up into a respectable game but it needed another name not to be hated. That piece of shit did well enough to warrant a sequel? Their hated DMC reboot is a fucking masterpiece compared to this.
Why would you make these plans public? (Greenberg is VP of Xbox Games Marketing)

Probably because of rumors that lack of marketing for this game meant that Microfot was closing Ninja Theory too.
Got to admire the minimalism with this promo post on the official Xbox account today.

Find out how Senua’s experiences of psychosis in Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II are rooted in both neuroscience and real lived experience in this special feature video. Hear from the Ninja Theory team, Paul Fletcher, Bernard Wolfe Professor of Health Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge, and Peer Support Workers from the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust.
A game about mental illnesses starring a stronk warrior woman flopping? This game will be completely buried before even the end of the day.
Hellblade 2 is truly magnificent, superbly produced, it offers a distressing atmosphere as possible, extremely careful and rarely has the sound design of a game been so impressive. In addition, Melina Juergens' performance is particularly notable and we want to follow Senua's journey. The problem is that overall it's quite boring: the fault of the repetitive puzzles and the long and completely useless fights which weigh down the whole thing. It's sad.

8h long game released after 7 years of development (!) and they still have the audacity to include puzzles? WTF. I have free Game Pass for 2 months, but this doesn't inspire confidence.
What did I write about the puzzles in my review? Clearly they wanted users to play with a wider TV that maintains the image height. Oh wait, ultra wide TVs are not made anymore. Guess you're supposed to play with a projector. Oh wait, they engineered their sound for headphones (binaural recording) and made the surround for speakers sound like shit (and few people sit in front of a projection screen with headphones).I'm watching some videos of this game, it's baffling how developers work on high quality assets for years, then decide to take a huge dump on them by forcing black bars, strong chromatic aberration, motion blur, film grain, dirty camera effect etc. If graphics are the only thing you have to show, then at least let it shine. Idiotic trend. What's worse, there are even isometric games that do this (namely, both Pathfinders).
