heard there was a superboss I missed
satan
which I had unlocked but missed 1 new dialogue option

hard fuck still not sure how to kill it, nocturne boy was np beat him first try

also need to find somas somewhere
There’s also
Masakado in the Creation route, and his “true” form fight (he’s just stronger) if you bring a special item that you can find in the Vengeance route to the Creation route through NG+. Fighting his true form doesn’t unlock anything specific as far as I know though.

Harder than most of the game's boss fights. Wish NG+ would increase the spawn rate of these guys. They're super fun to fight if you're at their same level or underleveled.

I just realized that I missed the Aramasa skill for my physical build (forgot to check essence for learnable skills). I was getting by with Beatdown and Scratch Dance......

PS: In general it isn't better than Beatdown, but it is bonkers with guaranteed crits and isn't automatically bad if a single strike misses. Phew. Thought I missed a critical skill.

for all the power gaymers

Detailed Skill Descriptions

More detailed skill descriptions including base Power, Accuracy, Ailment rates, etc.

Note that there are many different multipliers and effects in the game that can drastically alter your end results. A skill with 100% ailment rate is not guaranteed to inflict that ailment. Most commonly, Hard mode imposes a x0.7 Ailment rate to player attacks, and x1.3 ailment rate for enemies, and Skill Potential scales as low as x0.55 and as high as x1.6. Same is true of base power. Don't be too surprised if a skill with 130 base power out-damages a skill with 220 base power.

Note that this mod displays vanilla values only!
If you have any mods installed that alter skills in any way, only hit count and targets will adapt to their new values. Values like Power, Accuracy, bonus Crit rates, etc. will all display their original unmodded values.

Isn't Sakanagi a decent alternative to Aramasa? Later you could swap to Murakumo, unless you wanna stay strictly as a Phys build instead of branching into Almighty.

There's Wrath Tempest too.

Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire
Am not far in, just started and reached level 8. Not really sure what to think about it. It looks and runs well and the gameplay is pretty addictive with new demons and events behind every corner.
But I don't care much about the events or the general atmosphere. Maybe I need to go back to Nocturne after all?

Just unlocked demon Fusion, although seems like I'll need a few levels to make something better then a kodama. Are demons consumed by the Fusion, or can I recruit another, say, pixie, for another Fusion?

If you're talking about the story/feel, it is utter anime bullcrap and that goes for Nocturne as well. Worthless - and not even well-written anime, very poorly written anime. I have no idea why anyone, let alone Codexers, would say otherwise.

You're here for the gameplay. If that's not enough, you probably won't enjoy it.

You can keep recruiting demons, you just can't have two of the same copy at any time.

finally managed to kill superboss took 10+ tries, probably the hardest in any smt game I can recall (dds superbosses are most likely harder but I skipped those)

had to cheese it a little bit with 100% dodge skill, impossible to tank satan's single target allmighty nuke spam

Booted it up for the first time, yesterday. Spent a little over two hours playing. It's deffo a bit easier, but more fleshed out in story.

It has to be this tune:

No new track beats it, and I haven't heard enough of the new ones where I'm at.

I finished both routes yesterday. Got the a world for humans ending in canon of creation and the law ending (I wanted the other one here but I went in blind so got this one by accident) in canon of vengeance. Fantastic game. I will take a break now but will come back soon for the other endings and the rest of the superbosses.
