So many little nitpicks that I have about this game that are driving me up the wall.

1. Any interaction with the world NEEDS to go as followed: put item in inventory -> use item. You can't just eat or read anything by interacting with it.
2. Different control scheme for menus, space, walking, workbenches, etc... .
3. Most travel options have an instant travel option in some navigation menu. Even if it's a 50 meter walk, you can just skip it by clicking on some navigation menu. This is quick-travel taken to the ludicrous extreme.
4. Menus in menus in menus. Holy fuck, fire you UX department.

I can see the bones of a worthwhile game, but they've done their best to completely pull you out of experiencing/interacting with the world. It really is fucking menu simulator 2023.

Because it was too hard to make seperate UI for controller and K&M in a 200 mil $ game.
I am still amazed that after so many of their games that have mods with 3x better UI Bethesda is still not capable of putting in basic features like sorting.. at this point this must be pure hatred for their players.

Eh it's not even that. They just put in a F- effort. Skyrim was controller centric and wasn't anywhere near this bad. Complaints about the console UI from that era seem hilariously mild in comparison to this.

Game became literally unplayable without mods for me at this point. I'm trying to finish up the UC questline but I keep getting distracted by things that are bothering me, thankfully it seems many of these things are being addressed by modders, despite not having proper modding tools, salut.

They way our world is currently going, i think its pretty realistic how it is portrayed in Starfield to be honest. In fact the game has too many white people and not enough pronoun stuff. So i give the game props to trying to accurately show what our scoeity will become (well maybe except hopping around planets on ships, i think thats pretty far off currently). So kudos to Bethesda in that regard.

I see the ratings, but he's right.
If American or the UN of today was in charge of a space program to save as much of the human population from an extinction event, you can be assured they'd be full of diversity quotas.
And that is going to include a lot of Africans, Muslims, and hood rats.
Which would also lead to unstable space colonies that'll rapidly self-destruct within a generation or two, barring some sort of balkanization or formation of ethnic enclaves.

In case of an emergency and a space program to evacuate Earth, there won't be any quotas of any sort. The woke agenda and "diversity is our strength" motto are just ways to control the population, lower labor costs, and divide workers. That's what most of you call the left, but not the same left I refer to – the one of my communist and socialist grandparents, just to clear up some misunderstandings. In the event of a catastrophic event, there won't be a need for such facades. Crowds will be repelled with flamethrowers and real bullets. Common sense and money will prevail. The ultra-wealthy will survive by buying their seats and cherry-picking the best engineers to make their new colony viable. We will select experienced workers, people from prestigious universities – not gender studies, but fields like physics, engineering, and programming. The color of one's skin and their religion won't matter; only those with the best scores in these universities , and years of experience, will be chosen with some of their families eventually.

I can agree with that. Last night I finally watched a Starfield video, those dialogs were almost sleep-inducing.

As for the shooting mechanics, I've always despised health bars and Level numbers floating above NPCs. Surely such stats are better illustrated by behavior (such as limping or bleeding when wounded) and appearance (such as visibly better body armor or weapons/teeth/claws)?
