Best girl
Unfortunately so far there's been no trace of the other best girl, that of course being Odelia.

Even Iris games in PS2 had males iirc.

Probably the new gacha games only has girl?

what do you mean "even iris"? iris games literally had male mc.

It's more of time reference. Even (these old games) have male characters, so (having males has always been part of the series).
no, i'm saying ps2 era was actually peak sausage fest in gust games. not "even". iris, mana khemia, ar tonelico - all of them had male protagonists, not just party members.
only starting from ps3 gust fully embraced "cute girls doing cute things and exploding dragons" stance.

Dude I played them I know. I was just answering the guy that even from the old games there is always male party member so he might have some luck with the new gacha.

Let's just settle it with this ok

Started playing Sophie 2 the other day, and I can't express how much I am horrified to see that container size limit is still there. They increased it sure, but 10k items doesn't look well enough given that the locations have become more expansive too, and basket size has also increased. Why do developers continue to do this? I have nothing against limited basket capacity, but I'm sure as hell not going to spend hours and hours going through each of 9999 items in my container to decide for each individual item if it is useful (or might prove useful in the future) or not. Container size limit was probably the main reason I didn't stay for post-game in Sophie 1, I just couldn't be bothered to spend a couple hours or so to sort my stuff and make free space for new items. I wonder if I would even be able to finish this game before container's free space runs out, or I will have to abandon it. I hadn't such a problem with other Atelier games.

Can't say it ever bothered me, what I remember from that game is how long it was and how many inane cut scenes there were. It was a bit much.

Finished Sophie 2 on Hard today, took me 83 hours. Nice animu, I'd say it's my second most favourite Atelier game so far (after Ayesha). It's better than the first game in a number of aspects, but in some aspects I wished it was more refined. Like the first game, it's too long (though it doesn't overstay its welcome as much as Sophie 1 did) and you hit level cap too soon, and it also has this annoying container capacity limit (which I find completely pointless). The ending was kind of lame
I hoped there would be a resolution to Purafta's story somehow

Now, time to take a short break before I decide which Atelier game to play next.

I HATE final dungeons (and final bosses) in jrpgs, but at least more often than not they have good music themes.

Is this Marion's doing?

Not only she is not playable (checked on wiki), but she is also not like her former self from previous 2 games. VA is the same, but acting is different. This is not Linca.

And Ayesha is almost a milf now, I didn't expect this

The biggest crime is they didn't update Ayesha's model. I gave her the red uniform
outfit which was already

:shredder:

but if they had updated her model and mannerisms to match her age I would have felt things in my pants no man should be permitted to feel.

The Japanese speedrunning event had a Ryza 3 run yesterday. Nothing that extremely mind blowing - most of it is walking around - but I loved the start. The runner puts on a blindfold and spends the next 20 minutes fusing tons of basic items, then uses item reconstruct to get one of them to a large quality level, duplicates these items, and uses an exploit that lets you trade good items for more gems than it would have cost to duplicate them. Stuff like this makes me remember a phrase some people use to describe Morrowind: it's impossible to tell what's an exploit/glitch/bug and what's an intended way of interacting with the game. God bless Koei.

New game and it's not a gacha. In an attempt to pander to 45 year old men who think they're little girls at heart, there's now a decorating feature. In a similar fashion, the frame per second rate seems to be a silky smooth constant 5 fps.
Hopefully the fps issue won't touch people who are going to play this game on the other platforms this game is releasing on, like PC, PS5, and... XBox?
The synthesis system is new, as one would expect. No cauldron this time (though I think it's fair to assume there will be some cauldron-like thing for synthesis access), and the synthesis itself is, like, floating in front of her, similar to a mental representation. Difficult to say if the combat is turn based or real time, but in the video she's always fighting alone and does a fairly impressive job at it: she can use her staff to beat things up, but if she flips it around, it's a firearm.
The new girl's design is overall vaguely Bayonetta-ish: she's clearly a mature protagonist (probably going to be in her 30s since the VA is not doing an anime girl voice) and she's wearing high heels that have some sort of motif that I have a hard time understanding. Compared to Ryza, she feels less fanservice-y, though you can already find hundreds of retard screaming "coomer bait" if you google info about this game.
Early 2025 release date.

Game's official website is https://atelier.games/yumia/jp/ and they're promising an update on September 2nd. Start practicing semen retention NOW

I don't understand why they didn't do another game like Dusk with its more mature tone (not this overdramatized shounen anime screaming), refined artstyle (instead of these plastick anime faces and ridiculous overdesigned outfits and oversaturated colors), and male protagonist.
