Cadmus can't git gud. Bottom of Blighttown/swamp is absurdly easy. Great Hollow is fine considering there's no reason to go there other than end game materials. Catacombs? Naga, please, I go there at level 15 to get fire weapons.
I didn't say it was difficult, I said it was annoying, feggit.

It's 6-7 per nest, not mosquito. It's up to you how much effort do you want to spend by counting nests...

Need dat der ring for walkin in da mud - dem tazsty slugs are gud eatin

Honestly, I find the "annoying" areas people complain about to be some of the better designed ones in Souls. Blighttown is certainly some of From's best work, and I also hold Shrine of Amana in much higher regard than most. On the other hand, I do find Valley of Defilement in DeS to be painfully tedious and annoying as hell, so obviously opinions will differ.

Sen's Fortress has so many cheap death traps I want to cry.

Anyway, it was a good Dark Souls day, over 10 hours clocked in. Finished Blight Town and Catacombs, took a jab at the fortress. Time for some rest now. Thanks to everyone who gave me hints and made fun of me dying to mosquitos/skeletons on Twitch.

Is there a DS2 thread? If not, you bros need to help me out here. DS2 is pretty good, but figuring out equipment is hard as fuck, for some reason.

Watched the recorded stream. MicoSelva I had to shut it off when I saw you upgrade the Man-Serpent greatsword to fire. If anyone was giving you live advice there they done goofed. Man-serpent is a strength weapon with B scaling in strength that goes to A when it's at +11. Turning it fire destroys that bonus. Should have done the Halberd, instead. You can always undo the upgrade, at least. Otherwise, good job in the Catacombs.

Oh that's cool. Surprising you have three, usually they are a pretty rare drop. That said, if you stack strength (up to 40 or so) the normal (+10, +15) version will end up outdamaging the fire version for most enemies.

I feel that Sen's Fortress was not quite as hard as Blighttown. Sure, the snake dudes are pretty tough compared to what you fight earlier but for some reason I just found it to be a lot more managable. And the boss of Sen's is a pushover. I'd say find the summon to give the guy some more HP, but since you'll be summoning BLACK IRON TARKUS it won't actualy be that more difficult.

As for what comes after that though... well, Anor Londo and its boss fight can make or break you.

Sen's fortress is hard because of those fucking swinging blades.
What? Lol.

Sen's fortress is only hard when you decide to go to the bottom and fight those last two Prowling Demons. You can't separate them. You can't roll effectively because of the water. You're fucked.

The rest is easy.
I am running across the Frigid Outskirts for the umpteenth time and I want to die :deadhorse:
Yes. The only area that requires you to change your build and reinfuse your weapons. I like to play with some sword with a lightening infusion. But slashing and lightening do no damage to those fuckers. Had to change to a STR build for a club with dark infuse or something like that, don't remember exactly. But yeah, definitely google what damages them the most and always summon Vengarl. I never let myself summon other players/mobs to help with bosses or areas, but I had to make an exception. This area is unbeatable.

I ended it up making it through Frigid Outskirts by using a Large Club's two-handed heavy attack to pancake the horse things.

To be frank, the horses aren't even the ones that annoy me the most. It's the Jaguar bosses. I mean, I keep telling myself, ATTACK ONCE ONLY AFTER THEY SLASH! DON'T BE GREEDY! But I always fall for some dumb shit in the way. Fuck.

I played that DLC on release day and that boss fight was glitched for me: once the two of them are spawned, the first jaguar would jump back -> pounce attack -> jump back -> pounce attack till I die T_T

Rustled my jimmies to no end.
