As predicted, TB makes a video gushing how he can slaughter everything in sight. Gives a free pass to removal of healthpack-hunting mechanic, monochrome visuals, shitty music, and abundance of jumping retardation, praises(!) the gloryhole kills.

This is another Warhammer Space Marine review from TB right here.

My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit.

as for the final boss
they've certainly tried harder then old id did for the bosses
looks kinda easy, but that might depend on the difficulty
however, that background track is NOT fitting for a final boss fight at all, THIS is the kind of music that should be playing during a bossfight

also that ending
'buy our season pass and sequel to find out what happens next, goy!' :decline::decline::decline::decline::decline::decline::decline::decline:

the whole fucking thing feels underwhelming

That final battle... :retarded::retarded: :retarded::retarded::decline::decline: How the hell (hurr) can you turn the magnificent Spider Mastermind into an over-designed, anemic thing which doesn't even have a super-chaingun FFS? And the non-ending... It's like they're not trying to hide their intentions anymore. The only thing better than NuWolfestein is that your character is not "cutscene-owned" by an old man with an iron grip and a hidden grenade. Instead, you're teleported away by the evil robot because fuck you, that's why.

While Doom may have had pretty basic bosses, it was better than that thing. Throughout that battle, I was constantly reminded of a metroidvania game. The bosses has different abilities that it just repeats in a predicatable cycle and there is a place you are supposed to try to hit the boss. While that style may work for a metroidvania, it does not work for Doom. I would take Icon of Sin anyday over that "spider mastermind".

And that ending
:prosper:
Who would think that a badass game like Doom where you more or less destroy hell itself would end with you being captured and a shameless ploy to buy the next game/DLC/expansion? Especially when the thing that captured you was just a robot?

Codex 2014 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy
At least the end credits are nice. I just feel sorry for people that forked over money to see them.

And the voice actor for Dr. Robot isn't Peter Cullen nor Optimus Prime...seems it's a voice actor who voices Reinhardt over in Overwatch, and has voiced none other than Judge Dredd, among other things.

I'm enjoying the hell out of the game, and the levels get pretty large and interconnected, with tons of secrets. There's a lot of verticality and ways (especially in the 3rd level) to jump down and there's some opportunity to tackle areas in different order. There's also a good mix of corridors, rooms, and open spaces. Not sure what all the criticism about the closing doors is either, it's like a few key areas, and once they're done the doors open up and you can go back as well. I've backtracked through entire levels trying to find secrets I missed. Gore/melee system is something that did bother me in the previews, but they are extremely quick, and flow with the combat really well. Graphically it's not the best looking shooter ever, but I think they've done an awesome job overall with the atmosphere and the general look of the game.

Some complaints:

-Some of the weapons feel kinda weak feedback/sound wise
-When playing the retro levels, the new music (supposed to mimick the old tracks) suck...I'd rather just have the old music
-Doing gore kills causes the music to fade out, which is really annoying in the retro levels
-Sound overall is good, but there are some weird effects that sound like they were recorded in a tin can

Overall pretty damn good attempt at a new Doom game. They didn't hit all the high marks it's predecessors did but it's a damn fun game.

*I might have to take back the complaint about the retro level's music...I think they might be exactly the same. I've only seen one retro level and I guess the track is "imp's song" and sounds basically the same. Not my favorite Doom song I guess.

I like the fact that the final boss is once again the Spider Mastermind, however the fight itself is meh. I mean the Mastermind is a piss-easy monster in Doom 1 and 2 that only gets dangerous when the level design is advantageous towards it with long lines of sight, but Dis in Doom 1 doesn't feel like an artificial arena. Here the fight looks more like some aRPG bossfight than a fight against a really strong monster in an FPS.
