So graphics improvements are token, there is a new questline added, and some minor tidbits like armors and stuff?

Oh, and they integrated friendly hud! Congratulations!

CDPR is also actively avoiding answering the question if this update will appear as a separate entry on GOG/Steam or overwrite the current version. The fuckers know there will be backlash and they will not make it optional.

But is the scrotum armor an "alternate look" thing, or is it just replacing the current model?

The best thing is that I have the game installed through offline installers and I've made sure it's unreachable to GOG Galaxy.

Most likely an option as they've stated during the stream for every other new feature. It will probably work like the alternative looks for characters where you toggle an option in settings.

Same.

Not really. They made their own version of several of Friendly HUD features, but without any way to tweak them. Honestly, their "improvements" are laughable. Friendly HUD alone has dozens and dozens of tweaks that can not only be toggled, but fine tuned to your liking, with specific keybinds to enable/disable them. Not to mention other mods from the "friendly" suite.

Other things I noticed in this stream is that they still haven't fixed Geralt's broken hair physics when using Hairworks, or Roach's mane and tail. Also, the UI still seems to be limited to 30FPS. It shows much they care about their games lol.

Did they change the gameplay significantly to finally make it enjoyable? Or is it still a three (for Quen)-buttons mashing whack-a-mole?

Jesus Christ. I get that the lunatics are running all the asylums these days, but did they have to get the lobotomy ward? I didn't even see the Netflix crap and I still know it was one of the most ridiculed aspects of its early marketing.

That's... it? I wasn't even sure there was a graphical update in the first part of the trailer, kept waiting for it to fade away to some "NOW UPDOOTED" text with an obvious visual makeover. Kinda picked up on those lighting changes in the end, but it was already a very pretty game, doesn't feel like a worthwhile difference.

Eh, guess it's just a free QOL update, shouldn't bitch. But the prospect of broken mods and a larger setup pack on account of the new VO dub ain't appealing.

One year for a lifting in graphics, new scrotum armor, and some minor tweaking in the gameplay.
And now mods are broken.

I wonder how much money changed hands to get that in
