Over there.
I mean, what next? A Robin Hood game where Robin of Sherwood runs an impromptu printing press in the forest and distributes leaflets to fight the power of the sheriff?

You shut your whore mouth! Don't be giving these fuckwits any ideas!

Hey, what about the Deus Ex game where you have to run on the rooftops and jump down on guards to fight the power of Bobby Page?

Mirror's Edge 2 is in development for next-gen consoles.

I know that much of the atmosphere of Thief is about the contrast between shadows and light, but why does it have to turn, full out, into this uninspired teal and orange garbage? This is the most visible proof that it won't be good. There are many other colors to use, and most of them can work better than teal and orange. How the hell can an 'artist' talk about his vision and then present teal and orange with a straight face? Why does Thief need to become this?

When I look at the early 20th century Godfather New York setting...I just...rage taking over...

:rage:

How can a fuck make something like this? Even Dogma7 would have had the decency to cutpasta the setting from T1/T2 or even T3. Did anyone from the design team even play the originals? Oh, I see they looked at the loading screens of T3 probably playing the XBawks 1 version as it seems that the font is the only thing they took from the games and even then, only from the 'popamole' version.

I've seen many declined games in the past years, but seriously, this is the most enraging for me. This sounds horrible. And the fuckers dare to say that the game hasn't changed where it matters. It did you idiots.

The only thing that matters to them is the part of the game where you give them money. Nothing changed on that aspect of the game.

Jumping is now a context- sensitive action. “Jumping, bouncing up and down, kind of broke the immersion,” says Schmidt. “We didn’t want you to be the master thief and you just tend to fall off stuff all the time.”

Because bunny hopping is more immersion breaking than being unable to scale waist high fences? Just as its more gratifying for the player to be the revered master because it was coded in and not because of his own competence earned by raw experience.

“There is a challenge with the diversity of the audience,” says Schmidt. “Ask someone today to play the original Thief games, and it’s going to be a challenge to really get into its patterns before you start enjoying it. So the way that we address it is we make sure that you have options, and difficulty settings.”

Did you just acknowledge that despite the adversity a new player will experience, he'll have fun when he learns paying attention to details, being patient and taking calculated risks will reap rewards?
I need to visit a therapist because my false memory told me there were difficulty sliders in the original games.

“We won’t be able to make everybody happy,” says Daniel. “That’s just reality. If we make this guy happy, then this guy is going to be pissed off, and vice versa. If all people have to complain about is details like that, then we’re pretty happy, because that means that the core is not broken.

Bullshit. They made jumping context-sensitive because making the environments interactive rather than just pretty scenery takes slightly more effort. And why the fuck are they complaining about how bouncing up and down breaks immersion when nobody is forcing them to mash that jump button?
