Zombra How to request refunds? I'm 100% done with ineptile and want to refund both this and my BTIV pledge.
Just email your request to support@inxile.net. Be prepared to wait a week or two as your displeasure is not going to be their #1 concern 5 days from release.

Developers these days, the game wasn't even released and they are already promoting the Enhanced Edition version.

In IE games you drag box select everyone, or a single character or 2, or 3, or whatever.

In torment, where you go with your character, everyone else follows.

Other than pre-positioning before combat, there isn't much of a use for separate character movement outside of combat anyway.
What are you on drugs? Or did you brain burn out due to too much popamole games?
Half the fun of IE games was preparation for combat which happened.. guess when.. outside combat!

But I guess good positioning, setting traps, scouting in stealth or just sending your wizard forward to start the combat with fireball before retreating back to the line of ranged weapons was all foreign concepts to a retard.

When we rolled out the Torment beta to all our backers, we also decided to transition the game's beta into final release. This would mean the smoothest experience for the majority of players, since they would not have to activate another key later on.

This means there is no separate beta product for the game - it's the same game/product key on Steam, and anyone who has the beta on their account will have it update to final when it is released.

The side-effect is that everyone who got a beta key for supporting Torment at a higher pledge level will effectively get two full game keys instead. You are welcome to share the extra game key with a friend or family member if you want!

Huh, that's very generous.

I guess the price of keys will get very low very quickly.

One of the most obvious dumbing down to fit console features is the movement mode, everyone follows the fucking leader by means of controller thumb stick.

Oh fuck :(
Was it like that in the beta?

Yes. It's awful. Characters never walk side-by-side, they're all walking in a row like ducks.
And by walking, I obviously mean sprinting, because there's no way to actually just walk, on PC.

ToN is pure, undiluted decline.

Damage control. Now watch the fanboys crawl up from behind their monitors and grin, inXile's fresh shit smeared around their mouth, to once again fawn over the people that just the day before were busy raping them in the ass.

[...]

Eternally butthurt faggots like FeelTheRads like shitting on everything, but the only real criticism of the game they can come up with is that some stretchgoals were cut and that the UI is supposedly much worse now because of the console release.
[FAKE NEWS]

A lot more was cut than just stretch-goals, including things that was supposed to have been in the core game already (such as Foci and Factions), and their absence actually makes the game considerably worse. There are also other issues, such as narrative lore-dumping, movement controls (or rather, lack thereof), an inability to walk, being unable to prepare or position before combat, a lack of companions, the fact that you can just spend points to succeed on almost everything (and when you can't reach 100% by point expenditure, you're likely to fail anyway, so why spend points?), uninteresting and same-y CNPC:s that despite all being human cannot have their gear changed, and so on and so forth.

Saying that the only two issues are cut stretchgoals that the developers tried to keep secret and that the UI is a consolized piece of shit is just flat-out bullshit.

how come it's almost release date and we don't have any new leaked information? Isn't the game in full already for the media to review it or they only received the Bloom only region?
I remember before Fallout 4 released , we already knew the hole plot (not that it has any).

That doesn't actually happen to most games. :M

There'll probably be reviews a few hours before launch.

Luckmann have you actually ever walked in PsT?
Yeah. It's the default mode.

Yes, I held down Shift or Ctrl or Alt or whatever the running button was 90% of the time or more, but because of how it worked, I often ran to a place, and then walked up to the NPC:s. This was no conscious effort on my part, or an attempt to do some form of in-game LARP shit, but it's a meaningful difference in terms of feeling. It simply turned out different based on how the system worked, and it felt a lot more organic, and not mind-boggingly artificial. The fact that everyone sprints in a straight line one after another in ToN makes the effect far worse. Even the synchronized running of PoE was better than this, because at least there they ran as a group, not as mimes following in eachother's immediate footsteps at a sprinting speed.

If the type of movement doesn't matter, why don't we just institute teleportation as a game mechanic and be done with it? After all, we must get to where the "gameplay" is, don't we? Much more fun than having to get there first.

Crises are different.

Actually a fair amount of Crises don't reposition your party, so it's a valid point. The movement range of chars is so high it doesn't really have any appreciable effect tho.

I don't mind the one click movement myself, D:OS had that as well and it wasn't a problem for fine control.

Well with D:OS you could unchain them for individual movement. :M

My point was more that if any game is shallow enough to go for this it's TToN.

In D:OS I'd unchain for

  • puzzles - easy to do different ones
  • split play - not applicable here
  • starting combat and following up with 2nd char who was sneaked to manipulate initiative/clumping up - lol combat in Torment
The should have had box selection as a stretch goal so they could cut it properly :M.

I don't care. My comment had nothing to do with TToN, just showing that retard that dared to attack IE without a real argument how stupid his point was.
