The Dragon Knight 4 translator has a pretty monocled to-translate wishlist.

él (aka Elle for Windows version) [VN]
(Edited the machine translation for quite a number of more 'complex' lines; initially wanted to just slap the machine translation for non-repeating lines here with minimal edits, thinking they should be fairly accurate by now.)

Note: Double line breaks is for new dialog.

In the smoke-filled room... there are 4 men and a woman in uniforms looking in my direction.

[Reinhardt] I'd like to introduce you all to... "Joe Takanaka" the new Sniper assigned here starting today.

[Rob] Hey hey, such a young Sniper.

[Reinhardt] Young he may be, but still a full-fledged Sniper. Well, don't pick on him too much...

[Bix] What... I was expecting a veteran Sniper to turn up.

[Joe] ...

[Reinhardt] Joe, they may have foul mouths, but they're all good fellows... Don't take it to heart.

[Reinhardt] Do heed your seniors' words and follow their guidance... Now, I shall introduce them to you.

[Reinhardt] From left to right... "Él"... Sitting on the sofa is "Carlos".

[Reinhardt] ... The guy with long hair in the middle is "Rob"... The freckle baby face is "Rucca"... and...

[Bix] Bix, the most handsome of the bunch.

[Rob] You're a scarface... what's with being handsome.

[Reinhardt] Well Joe... we'll get along fine. Introduce yourselves in detail...

[Él] You look so young... Are you really a Sniper?

[Joe] A true-blue Sniper.

[Él] Hmmm... somehow, you don't look reliable...

[Joe] (It's none of your business...)

[Bix] You're ten years too young to be talking to me.

[Carlos] My name is Carlos... Nice to meet you.

[Joe] (Ehh... he seems decent.)

[Carlos] Did you say something?

[Joe] No... nothing.

[Carlos] When I was new, I was very nervous too... But I'm sure you'll get used to it.

[Joe] (I'm not new!! I'm an SS-class Sniper!!)

[Carlos] I'm a B-class sniper... What's your sniper level?

[Joe] I'm...

[Bix] He's new, so must be C-class right, Carlos?

[Rob] ... He.

[Joe] Huh!?

[Rob] He... Hehehe...

[Joe] ...

[Rob] Hehehe... hahaha!!

[Joe] (So odd...)

[Rucca] I'm Rucca.

[Rucca] I've a childlike face but...

[Él] He's childlike on the inside too.

[Rucca] Él... that's mean.

AkOHBec.png

[Bix] Hahaha!! It's done deal when the woman you're in love calls you a child!!

[Rucca] Ugh, shut up!! ... Anyway, I'm not a kid!

[Bix] Hey, didn't you want to chat with us?

[Joe] ...

[Bix] What's the matter?... Why don't you talk about something?

[Joe] ...

[Bix] I see... Then, I'll get you to open your mouth!!

PbsmbLH.gif

[Bix] ... How's it?... Now you'll start talking, right?

[Joe] Ooooouch...

[Él] Stop picking his nose!!

Mario Super Picross for SNES got translated. The game was previously released on WII and Switch, albeit still with Japanese text. This might be the reason (from the readme):

One thing you may notice when playing through this game is just how much Japanese culture references there are in it. You didn't know "Pig-Shaped Mosquito Incense" was a thing? Unfamiliar with Toyama no Kin-san? Well, now you know! Some stuff like "Teru Teru Bouzu" will have a brief parenthetical explanation on what it is (a ghost doll). Some Mario names have comments, but these were in the original game. I don't love having romaji in translations, but it's unavoidable without changing the puzzles. Fortunately, it's not too bad in this translation. You'll even learn about Japanese culture along the way!

Also look at that Japanese commercial. LOOK AT IT!

Translation released for Puyo Puyo 7 on WII. The DS version has been translated for over a decade, now it's the Wii versions turn. It features a revised, more accurate translation.

Some Updates

YS vs Trails: Alternative Saga by Geofront got released

https://geofront.esterior.net/2021/10/16/ys-vs-trails-in-the-sky-alternative-saga-is-out-now/

Two old Stardust Crusader translations got updates. Dirty Pair for the Famicom Disk System and Glory of Heracles: Snap Story for Gameboy

https://www.romhacking.net/translations/1735/
https://www.romhacking.net/translations/3365/

So did Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy in Itadaki Street Special for PS2. Most dialog is still missing, but its being worked on. According to the readme:
I'm happy to report a full translation has been going well and that the next update should be a huge text/font overhaul. For now this is a quick little stopgap update.

https://www.romhacking.net/translations/3191/

Including Prologue/Special Chapters Racing Lagoon has now 12 translated Chapters out of 19.

Growlanser 6 progress report (taken from cdromance) and patch

https://bitbucket.org/Risae/growlanser-6-english-translation/downloads/

  • [*]The main story is fully translated, but not edited
[*]99% of the items, spells and skills should be translated (including descriptions)
[*]Side quests are still work in progress
[*]Some image files like the city names are not fully finished
[*]The VWF (variable width font) code is not fully bug-free, which can result in text clipping into the next line or going outside the text box
Hopefully someone takes on the first three games as well down the line.

Pathfinder: Wrath
II & III were officially translated by Working Designs... though who knows how accurate the localizations were (though I remember enjoying both a lot, especially 3).

I think the only one not translated now is the very first game, which is weird because most fans of the series say its the best. I thought GL5 was pretty mediocre, so I'm curious as to how a direct sequel to it turned out.

I still have to play generations, so I just completely forgot about that.

A translation of F-Zero Climax (F-Zero game and final one to be released) is apparently far in the works. The game has two previous ones, but both had an untimely end.

Sorry about not sharing updates on all this time, the translation isn't cancelled.

Right now we need someone to extract and insert graphics from the game, we already have all the text translated and documented.

For now we have all the chapters, pilots and vehicle profiles translated, so it's about the menus and a few more lines to get it complete.

Quote me to this message if you want to help or open me a private message if I don't see the answer on this thread.

We would really love to have the translation finished. :yaysp:

Came across it while searching for F-Zero related stuff.

It's out!!!!

Few Updates:

The WiiWare game Line Attack Heroes got translated.

Racing Lagoon translation only has three chapters left (Considering the pace, I'd assume its finished before the year ends)

Suikoden: Woven Web of Centuries patch got a few updates

Monster Hunter Portable 2G for PSP got translated (Port of the Freedom Unite translation)

The GB Sakura Wars has been translated

https://github.com/vinheim3/sakuraWars1-disasm/releases/tag/0.0.1

The 0.0.1 is deceptive here, but I have no idea how much is translated. The readme is confusing in that regard and makes it sound like the whole script is. Which is certainly possible. Among other things, they also re-added cut content, made QoL improvements and made a special cursor available that was originally only accessible with a Gameboy Peripheral.

Edit: So, yeah. Confirmed full patch. Weird naming scheme.

Personally one of the biggest translation releases in years, just by what it represents. And made in such a short time too.

Chapeau, Hilltop. I've waited for this one around 17-18 years.

Well, this is odd. I just found that a bunch of formerly Japanese-only games, such as Baroque (OG from the PSX) have been translated... To Spanish.
I suppose someone will make an English-speaking version later. In the meantime, have these:
