First of all, the next update will be at Feb 6th 11PM.(GMT + 9) The biggest reason for the delay is our lack of ability to implement what we want to implement on time.

We're so sorry for the repeated delay of the update. And we'll do our best to provide you with enjoyable content.

About the change of update plan regarding DLC contents

The development team promised that there will be 9 scenario missions and 1 violent case in the DLC update plan the other day.

However, given the current situation, the development team determined that the DLC was lacking in challenging elements, even though the DLC was dealing with post-ending content.

As a result, even if the development period is extended, we would like to provide an additional violent case in addition to the planned violent case.
The first violent case will be updated this time, and an additional case will be provided according to the DLC's development schedule.

The development team is well aware that our decision is not a good choice for those who want to see scenario missions soon. The development team promises to prepare the update for the scenario missions as well.

We're sorry that we always show you our unreliable side.

  • Added a level 50 violent case [ Vestiges of War ].
  • Added a [ Scenario ] difficulty to the offline mode.
    - This difficulty gives players various buffs while in mission. It's easier than [ Safe ] difficulty and suits for the players who want to play scenario mission mainly.
  • Added the commands on the ally NPC.
    • You can command to whole ally NPC using [ Ctrl + Shift + 'Command Number' ](LT + A in controller).
    • Once you command to whole ally NPC, every NPC will follow the command automatically. You don't need to give commands to individual units every time.

  • Added an additional inventory expansion event to Don.
  • Added the mastery sets.

  • Added items of higher level version of level 30 items [ Lightning Bringer ], [ Flame Bringer ] and [ Land Bringer ].

    • Increased the jurisdiction fund of [ Northern District ], [ Central District ] by 50%.
    • Changed the amount of [ Supply Support - Energy Extractor ] from 1 to 3.
    • Changed the amount of [ Supply Support - High Purity Psi-Stone ] from 3 to 5.
    • Changed the increase amount of [ Inspection ] from 3 to 5.
    • Added the effect of 'Increases the amount of Psi-Stone extracted by 10%' on the [ Psi-Stone Map ].
    • Added the event that is activated randomly on the [ Merchant Union ], [ Labor Union ]. You can get a mail with attached item.
    • Added [ Exposing Trafficking ] effect to some jurisdiction.

  • Added a warning message when Kylie removes Hacking state using [ Assist Protocol - Repair Command ].
  • Removed the condition of using Kylie's Overcharge ability from the condition list of some Achievements.
  • Changed the search function in the Troublemaker List to be able to search researchable beasts masteries.

  • Fixed a bug that controller couldn't work in the beast evolution mode.
  • Fixed a bug that an ally NPC that took [ Station ] command tried to attack enemies which in the non-battle state.
  • Fixed a bug that dead voice of an unit was played duplicated when the unit is hit by 'Bolt' type abilities.

Holy crap the new violent case is tough! The human mobs and bosses are simple enough to handle, but the robots... Huge Bicrons with area effect attacks that can wipe half your team and can become immune to dying for 3 turns, and the new Destrons with 6000+ health, loads of immunities and multi-target counterattacks. Brutal!
I've tried 3 times so far on Hard difficulty and have had to retreat each time after taking heavy losses.

OK, I held off, largely because I kept hearing about how you gotta delve into all the ever-evolving systems, but I think I'm ready for what was apparently RPG OF THE YEAR. What are some general QoL things to know before jumping in? (Equivalent to, say, "In Underrail, try to specialise" or "Go big or go home on WIL"...)

Just dont quit after the first couple missions. Game starts slow, you will be very slowly introduced to very basic mechanics and you will be like "Pff, this shit is retarded". You will also find the characters to be cardboard cutouts. Then a mission gets a lot trickier and you get a new character, and shes fun. And missions keep getting harder and harder, and you keep getting more and more new masteries and the characters you thought were simple are not, in fact, so simple, and then you get a new character, and violent cases and new gear and you start to see how deeply every build choice you make impacts the gameplay, out of tens of choices for every fucking character.
Then you see a pattern, this shit keeps getting better and better, thats odd, most games blow their load in the first hour. And more missions, more challenging optional objectives, or even different choices, and you can go back and redo missions and fish for masteries.

I would say dont fall for the trap of crafting. Just dont bother.

You have to pick a class for each of your chars anyway. If you build your masteries around those class skills, especially for the first chars you are getting, you won't have a problem up until the end game or maybe even DLC content. If you stick to just class skills + make sure to build some mastery sets there is not much more space you got on your mastery boards for customization anyway.

Play on the "kinda hard" difficulty, turn it up higher if you get bored.

Item crafting is tacked on, time consuming, and unnecessary; it may be safely ignored.

Mastery crafting on the other hand is essential. When in that menu, it's good to know that screens are "nested". Example, if you're trying to make Martian Kick, it may require Martian Fizz as a component. Click on Martian Fizz and you will see which components you need to make that in case you don't have it already. And you can click on those components to craft them as needed. Took me a while to figure this out on my own and it makes navigating a breeze.

Look carefully at the area of the character sheet that says Mastery Sets. It's kind of a puzzle. You don't need to read up on the system more than that.

you can disassemble high quality craft mats to multiple lower quality, whiich makes early grnd pointlessly time consuming compared to doing it later on.
Masteries are important like zombra said. I'd recommend setting company bonus to extra mastery drop.
sell loot instead of disassembling. you make a lot more that way and then pick your shiny on shops if you ever need it.
dont bother with challenge mode or high diffculty before mission 20-25 imo

I am missing the "understanding" mastery, which is needed to unlock many more stuff, anyone remembers how to find it ?
