Does the Easy difficulty make the game actually easy?

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Oh okay. Finally reached deep caverns.

So this is why this area is my least remembered part of the game.i think my brain repressed the memory to prevent ptsd. Despite finishing it my first time then, oh god the horror. I just remember the final boss and mutagen puzzle because they were kinda cool.

The never-ending mob spawn was easy, but it is also frustrating because i wanna explore every inch of the map.

Bought it and the expansion on the sale. Any recommendations going in?
Don't specialize. Having a wide variety of skills is very important. Assault rifle and Psi builds are the worst in-game. Normal is way to easy, go straight to dominating.

One point in every skill except maybe melee where i invest a bit extra then maybe?

I started a small test run to get a bit of a feel for things and so far i got a very positive impression, the music and overall mood seems great. I was wondering about one thing though, the doc tells you that if you want PSI-powers can either take his pill and destroy your immune system or spend years "meditating". Can you actually activate your psi-abilities by meditating or smth or is this simply way to slightly nerf you if you want to go into psi powers?

The latter.

It doesn't do much, PSI is op for pmuch every char.

Don't play below Hard, Oddity highly recommended for first run.

Stealth in general can make your life less frustrating. Outside of combat:
- high perception lets you uncover secret areas,
- psi empathy and high will lets you learn some unique lore,
- high hacking lets you get additional information/lore too,
- high intelligence opens up some dialogue options in the dlc.

Made it to the black sea. I see the combat paradigm has changed a bit, waves of dudes who do hundreds of damage with multiple shots + poison but their equipment is only worth 100 UnderrailBucks or less. It would upset me if I wasn't already rich.

I'm supposed to defend these idiots who use sniper rifles and miss constantly, waste their grenades on one guy at a time, and have turrets but run ahead so they don't get any shots? Lovely. Who doesn't enjoy escort missions?

I think one guy died in the first attack, am I screwed or what?

Honestly it would be so unexpected and cool to have a combat with competent allies for once. Whenever someone fights alongside me in Underrail I go "meh" because it can be often better to be alone (because of course allies are not only incompetent, but also react to your slightest misstep, or like taking 1 damage from your caltrops, with MURDER).

the underrail wiki 'timeline' section states that Tanner contracts Oculus to steal the power cube from the faceless. I haven't played expedition yet, but I don't recall that ever being mentioned in the original game? Oculus seemed to have no clue who the faceless were

Is it possible to riftwalk out of Deep Caverns? I see a ''deep caverns elevator rift'' mentioned but couldn't find it.
Pretty sure it's to the southest on the ?bottom? level, the level where you exit SGS for the 3 gen starter quest. There's an elevator there and that damn blue thingy was there before the Dude even got expanded, drove me nuts I tell ya.

The effect could be worse this time, because it really is a lot of people, some of them are bound to get over the "Sseth recommended it therefore it's good" effect.

I think we shouldn't worry about what we can't change or affect.
