Cool, now I locked out of "Meet Azif" quest. Why? At first, I thought it was because of Foundry: Todor talks too much, he's a liability, and I covered him for Everard. Makes sense. Is it? No, it's because of:

"If told that the player came to investigate the drug, Meet Azif will not trigger even if the subsequent persuasion check has been passed!"

This is some Sierra quest design here, no less.

Aaaand finished. Single school, TM only wizard with dodge/evasion on Dominating.
Dodge/Evasion CAN work on Dominating, just not very well. Temporal Manipulation only is perfectly viable too.
Big-T killed in two turns as Temporal Distortion deals damage after two turns.

Faceless Commander on second try. The gaunt forgot he was in a fight and was chillin' near the entrance.

Is it natural to suffer as from drug withdrawal just because i haven't touched this game for something like about a year? Thing to consider is that underrail left me with impression of having low replayability value.
There might be something about the game setting which calls me back to it. First proper CRPG that I enjoyed from start to finish.

- joined the Protectorate, kek. Doesn't matter that I was working for Abram, or that I slaughtered the entire Zenith Warehouse, just because I recovered that lost train for Rail Crossing - I'm good. I convinced Drones to leave, made sure not to tell anyone about their involvement, but it doesn't matter.

You actively work against and commit genocide on the Protectorate and they welcome you with open arms, while any little thing you do to upset the Free Drones locks you out of the faction.

Consequences for your actions is a thing I understand and enjoy - but that is just ridiculously inconsistent.

Won't the Protectorate turn hostile if you don't clean up witnesses thoroughly?

Good question. I dunno.

What gave you that impression? There are several mutually exclusive factions and a very wide variety of distinct ways to build your character.
Granted, faction choice doesn't influence all that much outside of their respective quest lines.

Hows the new psi, any comments?

Boring tbh. It devolves around using the same combo over and over and tries hard to force you into 1 or two schools at most. PSI was so fun because you had so many options, though that was part of what made it so damn strong. Now? Ugh kinda a yawn fest and not nearly as cool even though I like some aspects of this overhaul but the slot limitations is still too strict for my taste.

There are more ways to build a psi wizard than just a generalist. The update encourages doing something else other than maxing MT, PK,TC +70 point TM, by rising the psi cost for using all psi abilities and limiting the amount of available spells in a combat encounter.
Before the update, there were two combos used "over and over": LoC+Enrage and Destabilization+TP. Plus forcefield to herd the retarded AI. What exactly changed?

Weapon durability is the other pain in the ass. One shot takes how much - around 6 points of it? It's manageable, but tedious as fuck: after each battle collect all metal items, recycle cheap ones, make advanced repair kits, repair, go on. And this shit is heavy: with each kit weighting 2.0, you can easily amass like 20.0 or 30.0 of them for a ride.

I know a solution: INT 7, Disassemble, 5 spec points in it, but yeah, I definitely going to waste so much character development to get rid of repair.

repair kits aren't meant to be used for actual repair.

Converting heavy loot into scrap and then converting scrap into repair kits is both a good source of money, and a good way to get rid of the loot without greedily hauling it like Al Fabet.

It's nice that there's a reason to be a specialist. There are a bunch of different guns/melee builds possible, but before now pretty much every single psion was the same. Now there'll be more differences. Except you still need psychokinesis for robots so I guess that part will stay the same for everyone.
Psi having durability (that's basically what psi reserves are) now is annoying and I don't really like it, but I don't like durability on weapons either. I'll just have to deal with it I guess.

For all i know, it could be that i finished it on dominating last time i've played. Don't walk down my path, folks, general warning

The Psi goliathuses around the hanging rat, six of them are completely unwinnable for my sledgehammer build. They pop that aura that makes me useless against them, i can't hit them at all. Even if i incapacitate few of them, or even all of them i can't kill all of them in these two turns.

Sledgehammer tincan is pretty shit.On dominating you would be better to invest into infused rathound armor/pig armor and agility. I went high will/stoicism, and psionic enemies still rape you with ease, so the only solution is to break los/get into their face quick enough, deal criticals. The problem is that with sledgehammer you have at most three attacks per turn with out adrenaline or temporal haste. With temporal haste and adrenaline i get 5 attacks, some of these are not criticals. The damage potential isnt as good as sniper with shooting spree or psychotic critical psion. Tincan sledge is good for stacking critical damage, but its worthless because there are few sources of critical chance for sledgehammer builds, beside your standard equipment available for all characters.
Melee generally suck on domination.

Edit: Hmmm gonna try fishing for that black dragon poison, maybe it will give me some leeway?
Edit2: Fuck you cant use it with caltrops? Thats shit.

It sure was convenient for me to go all out with chemical warfare. I remember seeing somewhere around 12 of goliaths at one particular chokepoint, enemy usage at times is a bit ridiculous on dominating

12 goliathus? WAT? i havent seen that. The biggest groups are in DC near labyrinth and near hanging rat/rail crossing/oculus.

Tell me does precognition stack with evasion cap, meaning you can get 40% evasion PLUS 30% reduction from precognition, totaling at 70% hit chance decrease?

BTW, anyone tried a 0 lockpick and hacking run? Im playing at classic mode, i dont think i will have problems.

There's over a dozen distinct builds that play pretty differently from each other.
The game has huge replay value, just not in terms of story.

It does stack. Together with evasion you can reduce enemy thc down to the hard cap of 10%. They stack additively. So down to soft cap 40% with evasion alone, then add or remove 30% from precgnition, resulting in the absolute minimum of 10% thc. Expert feats that modify dodge/evasion also stack additively after the 40% evasion softcap, but they are absolutelly not worth it.
The 10% hard cap is unfortunately non negotiable. As far as I know, nothing modifies past that. Not even chemgaze grenades or Disruptive Field.

0 lockpick and hacking work perfectly well in classic mode.
