Raiding random jet skiers in the water ways is fun. They all ride junk jets, but it's not uncommon their jets being equipped with expensive parts. You just have to be careful to not destroy their jets.

So the layering of this is first Evasion reduction, then Blast Cloth reduction. I think an Energy Shield should come in between these two, but it seems if one has extra large capacity with somewhat low soaking potential it will be quite nice for these types of situations. Who knows, you might be able to go down to 0 dmg taken.

no evasion needed for that, you can stack blast cloth pieces for over 100% blast reduction. Not sure you can get such quality pieces without mercantile, still with all 3 you should get pretty close to 100%
interestingly enough, energy shield comes between evasion reduction and DR

Who wouldn't like a full Blast Cloth Set :). It would seem that a very heavy Blast Tac Vest with Psi Crab Shell, double stack Tungsten Boots and Blast Cloth head could almost be ideal for the jet riding segments.

I though it logical for the shield to soak before the armour since it does stand somewhat from the character. But it's good that it's confirmed.

well, just won fight versus 3 nagas on dominating.

2 can play resistances game

no blast cloth balaklava or tabi, just this

thought its plasma blast but its actually energy + electricity
How much evasion you got?

I'd imagine it's 300-350(effective with the set) range. Won't do the hardcore math right now. But I think it's there somewhere.

Expansion on sale, is it worth getting? I got bored after going down the hole in vanilla and rushed the ending, how many hours is it?

It is absolutely worth it.

I advise go there before doing Dark caverns.

Think like 40+ hours, very big area and several big dungeons. Open world exploration etc.

Have been thinking about Aimed Shot and Amplified Shock Pistol. Does the thing actually bounce to the player?

4 naga fight was a breeze. Stood in the middle to attract aggro on me. Managed to keep 3 plasma turrets alive. They contributed nicely against polarized target.

Btw i started using electro shock pistol, its nice indeed but got to be careful not to 1 shot myself. Got one crafted with 155+q mats, will likely use it against tchort and its tentacles... if i ever get there

I just did the Nagas right now with my crossbow build. You can safely place traps around then before they come alert. Then i chucked a napalm bomb, and spammed ambush critical corroding acid arrows.

Not if you stay far. Alpha strikes with good shock pistol can remove three-four people per shot.

Ah, well... too bad, I am also thinking about Execute :D. Or is Execute in fairly acceptable range, as well?

EDIT: Ah, wait. Execute shouldn't work with Shock Pistols...

Execute for Laser - or Plasma, if we're talking some extremely sturdy motherfuckers. Shock for group attacks and alpha-strikes. I can't see the reason why energy based char shouldn't carry around all three types of pistols.

On an unrelated note, I abandoned my idea of only silenced SMG run due to its abysmal damage - so far it's useful only as a secondary weapon, to thin the herd before the main engagement. Right now I want to clear port Zenith, but I'm not sure my char will cut it out - tincans are manageable, but taking down a Dreadnought with the SMG at the same time while being under 100 health with no evasion at all - no way. Thus, I'm thinking of a way to remove the fucker before the fight, and I think it's doable for it just patrols the area in the north. Its possible to spam EMP mk III mines, but it's tedious as fuck and I don't have required traps skill. So, will TNT work here? I can time it so the Dreadnought will walk right into the explosion.

I don't think TNT will do anything to a Dreadnaught. I've stood in more than one explosion and if that's any indication it means the thing won't even get a scratch.

Chemical pistols are pretty dank... and that actually seems to be a pun. I always keep some around.

Speaking of which. Of one can use SMGs, one can use Acid Pistols with Corrosive Acid for big tin can power suits... unless one is not a pirate, of course.

Don't give up, it's doable. I did, they get pretty good later on. Only downside is that you'll constantly buying ammo. Lots of it.

It's a very powerful build. The only weakness is the low range. If you run Chem Pistols with SI and crit gear and buffs, not only you will make enormous amounts of damage but you'll make around 200~300 with residual damage from burning and acid entanglements. And it gets even stronger when you use corroding and rusting acid.

Yeah surprised Styg didn't touch this by adding a lockout for the immobilization like Aphobia, as it is if somebody gets caught you keep attacking and they croak.

Them again even if he did you'd just cycle it with two other chemical CC types.

Yes, it's just plain broken. If you get a high quality blob dispenser, your fire pistol will burn things 75% of the time. That's even higher chance to burn than napalm bombs, and with high dex you can burn literally everyone. This without taking account using adrenaline and TM to get even more AP and burn even more stuff. I think the only hard time i have with this build is reppeling natives on the beach because they outrange me and i don't have any cover. Other than that, it's unbeatable.
