Lockpicking worked the same in Bloodlines 1...
You had to invest points in skills and attributes to get good at it, I saw no attributes during the gameplay presentation

yeah, I hate it as it's dumb, but I agree that it's similar.I love it, it's quaint, like racially diverse criminal gangs in 80s movies
One thing that sticks out is that we can kill so many women here. Masked or not, there are already more characters of stupider sex we can exterminate than in whole Bloodlines (where there was that chink-slug, bitch with plague and crazy women in Grout's mansion). Feminists have triumphed this time :D. :clap:A big soy yikes from me on the writing. It's not as SJW as I feared but it just doesn't have the same edge Bloodlines did. It doesn't seem as clever or as atmospheric. Also, none of the vampires look that much different from normal people. In Bloodlines, the vampires all looked distinct and had identity. No one stood out to me in this demo.
Brian seems to have Nosferatu social skills in every interview. Augment your personality with spine, dude...
Yeah. He is stiffer than a dead vampire.
the rumour mills claim someone played dead state in the officeI thought Cara Ellison was supposed to be there to work on some side quests. When did she become lead narrative designer?

altho the idea ellison was just the side quest person might be a misconception from how she described the 'hunting thin bloods' side quest as her favorite work on the game at that point, 5 months ago

day one. or at least day one since it was announced.I thought Cara Ellison was supposed to be there to work on some side quests. When did she become lead narrative designer?
she's always been referred to as a lead narrative designer, but I don't think "lead writer" was ever her title iirc. make of that what you will. Those labels might be incorrect.
yep, you're right. The previews that were published when the game was announced said that Brian Mitsoda was the lead narrative designer. Those previews also described Cara Ellison as a "senior writer".
Senior just means old. She is in the staff and important as grandpa Simpson. The previews that were published when the game was announced said that Brian Mitsoda was the lead narrative designer. Those previews also described Cara Ellison as a "senior writer".
