I think complaints about Kingmaker's governance minigame and WoTR's pseudo-HoMM may have turned them off from making minigames that actually matter forever. It's great.

I think the only reason the ship battle minigame is good is because they didn't have much room to ruin it by stuffing every thing they could into it.

But they did that with Colony management that is just busywork for minor bonuses.

You can get some nice bonuses from colony management, i would not call it minor tbh

Still minor. Bonuses are like +5 to stats or some weapon that is already worse that whatever you found while questing. Only use of Colony stuff is that they give you endless supply of medkits and grenades that you can then sell to get favor with factions because otherwise it is almost impossible to max out all factions .

I've finished up Chapter II and have started biting into Chapter III. Gotta say the story is taking an interesting turn and it's making enduring the dialogue bosses at the coronation ceremony worth it.

Very much enjoying my time with the game in its current state. I couldn't imagine playing Chapter III with the buggy product that we had on release and enjoying myself.

But atleast I learned my lesson - never buy an Owlcat game on release. You can't be sure if the game is good or bad, but it will definitely be unfinished. And most likely unfinishable.

Chapter III has some janky moments. The Returning your Boots achievement is glitched and you get it from the first hobo you kill instead of the one that actually has your boots.

Slight spoilers ahead: if you are choose to shoot the guy at the end of the arena fight and you have a two handed melee weapon in your first weapon slot you just swing at the guy and if you pass the check you supposedly shoot him. I can see that Argenta is mad at me for shooting him if I don't convince her to do it instead. Is there anything I lose by doing this? Ain't no way I'm not shooting the guy myself but I'm just curious. This would be the second time I've unpleased her with my decision, the first being the kids on the void ship. No real spoilerinos please.

You fucked it up now. You missed your chance to get her screaming in pleasure. Restart your campaign run.

The only way Argenta will ever leave your company is if you become a Heretic. Your responses to her in various conversations and quests do determine which of three endings she gets, though, as well as the resolution of her personal quest.

Sounds fair. I enjoyed messing with Woljif and Greybor in Wrath and the resolutions I got for their stories. Hopefully things play out interesting here too.

I guess having each company having strong ties to each of the faction in 40k helped them fleshing out their characters.

Marazhai in particular shown really well the inflated ego of Drukhari but also demonstres how they gonna do ANYTHING to survive and avoding Slananesh. If he needs to stop calling you Monkeigh and even trying to cope travelling in your ship without killing anyone, he gonna do it.

While also showing that even Drukhari have a bit of emotional side to them despite all, because he becomes kinda obsessive over the rogue trader. And the VA for him is amazing. He gave 100% in all his lines.



Pasqal is another home run because he's such fucking asshole, he gives zero fucks about any of the companion (modt of his endings are unhinged). But fits his character so perfectly, he's has almost no humanity left on him and without input of the player, he's going to jump on top of any Tech Heresy that he can grab and going to walk over the corpse anyone to do it.. Not to mention his quest is one of the best.

Having played the DLC though, Kibellah is a bit flat and monothematic, blood and death, death and blood, blood, death, blood.

I just bought this game. Having played it for about 2-3 hours, wow this game is nice so far, I did not like their last game, I think owlcats general 'vibe' works better with 40k than D&D for whatever reason

Pussy Iconoclast will get him for sure. He is not like Yrliet and does not have problems doing it with Monkeigh . In my Iconoclast run I told him I would help him and then backstabbed him soon after :D
