Not showing armor at all was pretty stupid.. but not showing power armor was seriously a big failure on Inxile's part. What the fuck, Brian?

How else can you see that awesome character you designed? I can't roleplay without the proper hat and fishnet stockings.

We're launching on Steam at midnight Pacific time tonight, with other platforms like GOG.com to follow as soon as possible while their teams prep the release.
:negative: So much for me getting to play tomorrow.

Despite the deeply strategic combat, however, the most difficult thing to deal with is the UI. Wasteland 2 was very obviously made for a keyboard and mouse, and it apparently had a hard time transitioning to console controllers. Things that should be simple, like opening doors, is made slightly challenging by the fact that the party has to be aiming directly at an object for it to be highlighted. Even aiming at enemies during combat can be hard, as the joystick seems to have a hard time moving across the combat grid. The camera controls seem off, too, and it is especially tricky to move the camera around the map, since it requires an entirely different mode to be toggled. Besides the controls, the on-screen text also wasn’t optimized correctly, and on TVs that are far away or are smaller, like the one in my bedroom, it is nearly impossible to read any of the countless lines of dialogue text or description text on the screen.

hehe

Would be nice with some reviews by hardcore RPG lovin' people who actually played the vanilla version and can talk about the differences, pros and cons.

These console pop-a-mole garbage reviews don't mean much to me.

How its relevant outside game where you RP secret agent/spy/hitman working in some modern Jewrocuck countries where you are not allowed to walk around armed and guns are scarce? In game about Gendarmerie unit to boot? Its like complaining swords and halberds are better melee weapons than pitchforks and kitchen knives... They could go full retardo and make pistols more powerful than assault riffles like in the Obshitian did in Alpha Popamole but Why?!
I meant in a general sense. Of course in the case of WL2 and PA games in general availability is the main factor as everything is spent and rusts away under poor maintenance. However concealing can come into play too depending on good mission design.

It will be interesting to see how Larian tackled the console issue, ui-wise, in their dos ee.

Wellllllll ... depends on the game. Wasteland was never a "survival" or scarcity type game. Setting doesn't always dictate gameplay.

It could be have sense if Wasteland 2 had sneak check for concealed weapons so without skill you could only smuggle shiv in... but since its game about Military Units I don't mind that realism triumphant (Assault Riffles are just lot better than SMGs and Pistols in RL) and that guns are not balanced and ammo not scarse; the game is fun without turning her into Survival sim... Well Call me hyped cant wait to see if they made Arizona less Dull.

Military units which don't have authority everywhere in a world full of independent groups just like yours, ideally you shouldn't be able to get in packing such heat inside every settlement even if it's open for all.

And it's not about "survival sim", just because you have to count bullets and barely keep your 100 years old rifle together doesn't mean you have to stop to piss or treat diarrhea.

What have they said so far about new content for Arizona or la? I mean, I thought this was an eye candy update, with voice overs, graphics and Ui taking the forefront in terms of features.

Then the game will still continue to be uterly Mediocre, no amount of Polish can make a turd shine.

What story of the big recent cRPGs(Underrail, D:OS, Shadowrun, PoE, WL2, Blackguards etc.) did you find the most engaging, overall? Not just the writing, but mainly storywise.

Not sure if my reasoning is the same as yours, though you can find mine here:

But even though i'd agree with you, truth is i'm still eager to replay it. It's just that my expectations this time around will revolve around the handling of entirely different aspects combat and combat alone.
