Do weapon attachments no longer show on the guns? I added scopes to all my rifles but they aren't visible like they were in the original version of WL2.
Not enough space on consoles for that.

Made it to L.A now. Really enjoying the D.C. They touched up alot of good things, while there still are some annoyances etc. which have been explained in this thread.

A few more patches with quality of life improvements and we're there.

I'm enjoying the extra voice overs.. Some are kind of amateur, but most are pretty cool and gives the game extra life.

Yeah lol. It seems, once you enter damonta, you don't fucking leave until you get the job done... else they gonna get butthurt, and all the robots run bezerk ;D

Also: I take back what I said about the game being easier now..

I just hit L.A "Nuke Pooches"... shit niggas.. these critters insta-hit my beefed and leveld up team :-O

This is on SJ of course. I like it.

After checking 'changes list' and reading last few pages of this thread, i have a feeling that they actually managed to make it worse somehow.
Nah, not true. It's far from the jesus-touched perfection some of us were hoping for, but it's a big improvement on the original.

Mostly I was hoping for a final, polished version, but once again it looks like a few patches will be necessary before really digging in :(

Is it just my impression or the DC is missing some portraits from basic game?

I might be dreaming that the :salute: guy was ever there.

It really is not a big improvement unless all you care are nicer graphics. They are nicer and levels got touched up with new additions. But the core game was not fixed at all, they only added perks/quirks and precision attacks on top of it.

AG centre has a stutter issue for some people. It is already being looked into according to steam forums (sear). Imo it has to be connected with the trees/grass on that map, if you stay near the entrance (apart from cacti no trees/grass there) it is ok. Workaround is disabling shadows...(well at least that works for me).

I admit I haven't seen too many of the redesigned encounters, but you don't think the weapon rebalance is a big deal?
It would have been in January 2015 when it was first announced to come out. 9 months later and that is only rebalance done? It is pathetic and laughable.

Didn't we talk about this before?

Speaking of which, how's the loot in the Director's Cut? Lots of people hated WL2 for having too many containers full of random stuff to unlock. Does that feel different now?

That's still largely the same, so far. Lots of crates with the same rifle/pistol etc. Just more fodder for weapon smithing. And then there are of course all the obscure knick-knacks that all have some use, eventually.

Unfortunately you were right. I bet if you father went to check if he had cancer you would come bursting into his room afterwards and proclaim "see I was right, you have cancer!! haha"

We're not talking about how long it took, we're talking about whether the DC is better than the original game - and it is.

To be fair, in regards to loot, I've heard it's tied to Luck. So, considering how the common tip is to take points away from luck in Character Creation, that may be why it's still shit.
