The game lacks a lot of polish. Like the portrait for a merchant you find in random encounter is a fat farmer woman that has nothing to do with what is on screen. I had two encounters vs bandits and both on same map with identical encounters. I hoped they actually made this stuff better.
Maybe I made a mistake supporting their BT4 and TToN games based on WL2DC being free.
Stats are not changed, skills are not changed, many weapons still cannot be modded. Precision shots UI is amateur work. The changes made for consoles like new trade screen is worse than before. Only thing really better are graphics. That is not enough.
If I cared about graphics I would be playing TW3 instead. This DC is a failure in my eyes, if they actually charged money for it I would call it highway robbery.

Hey, did the GOG version get released yet for those with the basic edition?

Seems they are taking their time, or rather, going through all affected accounts manually.
Some got it already, some didn't. I still don't have it.

My game crashes after returning to the citadel for the first time and attempting to leave again. Anyone experiencing the same issue?

I am experienceing some VO not being stereo but sound only coming from one of my speakers. Also when you return to Citadel Vargas is training guys you sent there from Radio tower except they got 140 hp each and do 70 - 80 damage....

Just a bit curious, is there a way to export your characters as it was possible in vanilla or that option was left out from the DC, because...reasons?

Interesting that they call it an "issue", when I went through the code I saw a placeholder message saying straight up it wasn't ready for release yet.

EDIT: Don't mind this. I was getting confused with something else.

Whoops, got confused with something else, in my defense I had just woken up.

And yeah, the game seems to be.. much easier in regards to the Early Game, I'm now playing on Ranger mode and while I can tell damage has been increased my party still wipes the floor, which is interesting since I was really worried about this being a shit party from the get go.

Also, to gog galaxy users, you don't have to redownload the entire game. Go to the backup option and it has the hotfix exe which is 40-ish mb.

imho the game still have serious issues with the combat and the general balance.

I waited a year to try director's cut after vanilla, but looks like I need to wait another year to some mods that can address the most serious problems, from perks, to quirks or op weapons and the not-so-good combat, because the overhaul of some mechanics that the game needs aren't going to be implemented by inxile at this point.

It's a really promising game foundation to build something great. If they release some good mod tools, will be a gem sometime in the future, but not now.

At least now I don't need to switch between AoD and W2 the same week

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
Has the difficulty really plummeted? Maybe I could restart on Supreme Jerk. A year ago the highest diff was bit of a shitshow, especially the lack of ammo.

I think i read on the inXile forums that they made the early game easier and the mid/end game harder. So hopefully that is indeed the case (playing on ranger now, not really wanting to restart on sj).

Does perks extra bonuses add to each other or replaces it? For example Applied Force gives you +5% chance to stun, Stunning Force gives you 7% chance to stun. Does that up it to 12% or just 7%?

Is there a perk that lets you have recruitable members be harder to go berserk with lower Leadership?

Divinity: Original Sin 2 BattleTech Bubbles In Memoria A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit. Pathfinder: Wrath
So, is there any way of getting at least estimates of how this is selling on consoles? W2 and Div:OS console sales figures will be a pretty decisive factor for future RPGs.

One of the biggest balancing flaws is still alive and well. Everyone can use the very powerful explosives without any skill point investment (Strength for throwing range doesn't really count). You can just hoard the stuff, especially with the perk that gives a chance of recovering grenades from mines. Hard encounters become easy fast when everyone is throwing grenades and firing rocket launchers.

This. So. Much. Cmon balance explosives please.. Also, I could buy a M4 assault rifle that has INSANE dmg.. like 40 minutes into the game after a.g... wtf? Is that a bug or what

Y'know, you need to play the game a little before you start whining. Actually, the explosives have been nerfed, just indirectly so - their damage stayed the same whereas the damage of all other damage groups got buffed. A pipebomb does 50 damage, true, but so does the tier-3 shotgun blast now. And it scales in a similar manner through most of high weapon tier.

Sure, they're strong, but they're not as plentiful, they're definitely not cheap and while you can by your way through several battles, what's wrong with such option? You can't break the game with them.

Another thing about the game's balance - the game didn't got easier, it got faster combat. You kill enemies much more quickly, but they act the same. And sure, since you get tier-2 and 3 weapons much quicker than your foes (if you have some foreknowledge, but that's a director's cut - everyone has them), you pretty much breeze through the Highpool and AG center (as much as you can breeze through their slog). 20-30 hp damage versus ~50 average AoE damage of SOSG shotgun - yeah, not a chance.

However, once you start encountering the tier-3 raiders on the global map, that's where the true combat begins. Because sure, they still get focused pretty fast, but you give them two or three shots and they kill your party member. So it's all about swift and efficient action.

I won't say that the combat is balanced, ofc, there are some thing that break it (the new precision attacks if you know how to use them, for example). But, as of now, it looks better than it were.

The only deciding factor for future RPG's that below zero console sales these games are having will be to forget consoles exist and make PC games again. As in not gimped to accomodate pads and couch loving audience( hey, where's the arrow, how am i supposed to know where to go? Is this one of them text heavy games? I usually just select whatever choice comes first so i can get it over with). You know, how XCom 2 does it, after it also sold below zero on consoles and millions on PC. I'm still recovering from the ideea of strategy games forced on consoles and pads.

And if they want to let people play from couch just optimize it a bit to work on SteamOS with Steam Controller.

Yes this is a huge pro for me.. There were way less options for armor during character creation in the Directors Cut which kinda pissed me off.. until I realized its actual armor your starting with.
If you unequip it your rangers actually have sexy polk-a-dot boxers.

All armor so far appears to have a unique look on your character but I'm just wrapping up Highpool so it could change later on.

You find armor as you play but anything that gives you stats still has no appearance.. shame on you inxile.

Yeah it's a real shame they can't figure out how to do something that every other RPG i can think of offhand can do, i'm sure there's some sort of reason but it's really bizzare to me.

Any new professional looking cosmetic armors though?

Do weapon attachments no longer show on the guns? I added scopes to all my rifles but they aren't visible like they were in the original version of WL2.
