Arcane
It should be universal I think.
Criticism always seem to come a bit later, not a few hours into the game. I think it was the same thing even with Shadowrun Returns. Even Skyrim iirc was well received in the first 2 or 3 days over the critical side of the Internet. So after all the bitching and moaning in the Beta thread the game turned out to be quite good in the end? That's a nice surprise.
Not that this game is not improved or anything, just saying why not many detractors are posting right now.
The Steam store page barely indicates that it's out. From what I'm seeing it needs to be promoted a lot more heavily now, or most people won't even know.
I guess it's because WB decided to have a promo weekend.
So you should monocle yourself a bit and buy Tesla Effect. The last game I played to use real action videos like that was Red Alert ..

that's exactly the problem: constantly having to use different skills, maybe even on different toons, to accomplish something which by logic would be the same task or maybe just a little slightly different. they're just skill points sinks, time sinks and patience sinks.I don't know what do you talk about, I have constant use of those skills.some skills feel redundant (disarm alarms/traps? repair mechanical/toasters? pick locks/safes?)
Sea made a post about it. Here it is in case you missed it:Let me try this in here since nobody seems to be reading the newsthread:
Anybody else have any experiences good/bad about continuing a save from one of the last big betas? I last played the game after the "Pretty much all of Arizona" update and yesterday hit "continue" expecting a crash or at best just not loading, but sure enough it loaded. Some missions in my log which I HAD completed were marked as uncompleted, but it let me travel to LA either way...and so far everything seems normal, though I'm only a few minutes into the first Act II area.
Well, I don't see the problem about this to be honest.that's exactly the problem: constantly having to use different skills, maybe even on different toons, to accomplish something which by logic would be the same task or maybe just a little slightly different. they're just skill points sinks, time sinks and patience sinks.I don't know what do you talk about, I have constant use of those skills.some skills feel redundant (disarm alarms/traps? repair mechanical/toasters? pick locks/safes?)
sea when is the first patch due? I cant wait to get my hands on this baby and defile it
This is probably what I'm going to do as well*. Might start a new D:OS play through since the major update was released or perhaps SR: Dragonfall which I never got around to playing yet.I'm not sure if I'm going to play it so soon... is it solid already, or maybe it's better to wait 1-2 months for patches? So after all the bitching and moaning in the Beta thread the game turned out to be quite good in the end? That's a nice surprise.
I'm still waiting for felipepepe's review.
I had the stupid idea to do the same but luckily realized that for the TRUE RPG (TM) experience you need to take the time and fuck around and a second person to be dependent on is just a bad idea.Yeah, I still need to finish D:OS... I was playing in co-op with my brother, but I was BETRAYED, EXCHANGED, REPLACED by a girlfriend.
Fucking casuals.
Ok, I'm not even mad at inexile, it's just that these are really the only games I follow and I hate to see such a horrible approach from these companies and I kinda wish people weren't so accepting of it. Sure, after a few months the game will be ready and done and for the next few years it will be golden and a great fun, the same way nobody cares VtMB was buggy at release but I just wish they took their time with it and done it properly.I think this was Deep Silver's fuck up Cadmus, inXile don't have any control over it.
