I'm starting with Enter The Gungeon. I'm trying to find out if it's as compelling as The Binding of Isaac.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
I revisited Pinball Fantasies, the old 21st Century Entertainment pinball game from the early 90s.

It has four tables, but only two of them are any good (Partyland and Stones 'n' Bones). It took me 3 games to beat my own high-score on both tables from ages ago, but it'll be a while until I beat that 384 million hi-score my friend got one time back in the day.

The music REALLY gets annoying quickly though, and the game does this strange thing that all SFX in the game is actually taken from a .mod file, the game just calls specific parts of the song when needed.

Out of curiosity I dug up a guide for the game, and it turns out there's a huge glitch that can be exploited involving Held Bonuses - if you can get that on several lives in a row you can apply Bonus Multipliers to it, which will then also be Held - meaning you gain tens (if not hundreds) of millions every time you lose a life.
I love Stones 'n Bones to death, but I disagree on the music, I could listen to that tune forever.

Fun fact (that you probably know) you can just replace the .mod with any other one. What do you think about Pinball Dreams and Illusions ? Not as good eh, only other one to come close was Epic Pinball.
Dreams is my favorite pinball game ever. Nothing will top it for me.

Finally picked up NEO Scavenger. It's... interesting.
Talk about it later, please.

Getting better at it. Enjoying the game, though permadeath is pissing me off more and more.:S Maybe permadeath is a bit too much for a game like this, an 'RPG' that does have a story to tell and isn't JUST a straight up sandbox survival game. This last time, I was doing so well! I had food, clean water, clothes, shoes that fit, a gun, other weapons,... I was perfectly healthy and fit, and then 'BOOM!' My guy cut himself during scavenging a random building or some shit, got poisoned, dropped dead by the end of the day.:D FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!

And again, I'm still pretty early in the game, I'm sure it gets much, much worse! Really looking forward to putting in, I don't know, 10 hours into one singular run only to get downed by some annoying scripted decision.

Still, this is more of a minor complaint. The game's great fun and I'm sure I'll be playing it for a while.

What little I read about it (probably skimming the review here) IIRC indicated that the character building was one of its stronger suits (ie. Disadvantages like in some PnP systems).

Finally found secret door to the area where i found kettle npc in Wiz5, took me some time to find him though, the door were in pretty obvious spot but my mindset initially made me look for secrets in weird areas. Not sure if i should buy "clues" from him since i only have 8000gp(maybe some better equipment would be a better idea) also i managed to turn off elevator and i found bag of tokens in one of the rooms, i wonder where should use them, gonna figure that one out tomorrow.
Little update of the map

Yes i know that with such tempo it will take me good two months to finish it, but i'm not in rush i actually don't like to rush-through games.

Finally finished Tales of Monkey Island, or Monkey Island 5 as everyone I know calls it.

I think to be the only one who can't enjoy this series. I tried the first two games, which are universally considered the best ones, and simply I wasn't able to finish the second (i completed the first one just because it was very very short).
Puzzle are incredibly stupid and obtuse as fuck, the "humour" simply wasn't humorous and the story was shit. The only things which i enjoyed were the backdrops, beautifully made, and the music, very pleasant.
Among Lucasarts' adventures, I quite liked Grim Fandango, though.

Tropico 5 campaign. It's very relaxing. And I like campaign model that does not make me start from scratch every time.

Though sometimes I really wish there were a Tropican responsible specifically for having coal reserves on Power Station full - so I could execute him and his whole family when my islands blackouts.

My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit.
I forgot that I never finished Doom II because of those godawful city levels, so I gave it one big push yesterday and finished it all.
The main campaign really gets easy later on with all the cells they throw at you, I don't think I died that much to an ultra-hardcore FPS on Ulta-Violence as I should have.
Also the red door being hidden by a secret wall in MAP28 which you have to shoot to open was a terrible fucking decision which just wasted my time. Unlike Sandy Petersen, nobody shoots everything in Doom in order to interact with it, Doom is not Metroid.

To be honest, I can breeze through the main Doom 2 campaign on UV without batting an eye. The hardest part for me is around MAP09 because I tend to be low on ammo by that point.

If you want more, try the Final Doom WADs. TNT likes to throw mobs of weak enemies at you, while Plutonia loves to bust your balls.

Playing on UV, disgusting.

DooM must be played using UV +fastmonsters. This is an unwritten rule all must follow.

first time I hear about fast monsters

I still feel like the Doom II level designers took turns shoving their cocks in a dictionary, then made a level out of the three words which had the most precum per page smeared on them.

It's like the gimmick levels in Serious Sam TSE compared to the standard TFE levels. All the levels feel somehow less thematically consistent than Doom's four-episode journey into Hell. I don't feel like I'm traveling into the twisted core of the City, I feel like I'm playing a compilation WAD. Not that there's anything wrong with the levels themselves, it's just that it misses that journey feeling the first Doom and Unreal had.

It's playing on Nightmare without respawning - or on UV with monsters moving and shooting faster. It's great fun.

Dove into the Witcher 3 again. Maybe this is the time I'll finally finish it. Plus, I want a save ready for when the next expansion comes.

I'll probably start up the Banner Saga and play through that again to get ready for the sequel next week.

You play Neo Scavenger BECAUSE of the permadeath. I actually feel it's something that encourages you to design your character properly, or at least in creative ways. Esp. at the beginning, it actually never ocurred to me that you can kill the big dog at the starting location and then make somesort of coat out of his hide. And then you can cut meat out of his body to eat. It's not a game you play in a linear fashion, that's for sure, and I gotta say it's what keeping me interested, even when I barely have scratched the superficial layers of the story. I still don't know what the game is really about, but I don't really care to be honest. The gameplay is good enough for me.

PBEMs all the week for me.
3 concurrent games in Alea Jacta Est,
1 in Pike and Shot with fellow Codexian,
1 in Flashpoint Campaigns with whom is turning to be a regular opponent,
and I recently installed FEAR to get into some instant action.

Oh, and slowly going through smaller Command Ops 2 scenarios.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Replaying Dishonored to finally check out the DLC, using the ULTIMATE DIFFICULTY MOD.

It's still easy as piss, no surprises there, but at least leaning is nerfed. Only played the first mission of the DLC (slaughterhouse) but it's a really good map, quite impressed. Hopefully the quality keeps up - original game never quite reached the same heights as its first real mission with the Overseer, which was a huge shame.

I've played full stealth plus no upgrades route and serial killer with most killing enhancers. You can finish it both ways without much problems. Dishonored is a very forgiving game when it comes to difficulty and levels, while not being as big and structured like in Thief, still show that Arkane guys put more than one path to most objectives and optional locations/rooms. Hopefully the sequel will grow on that, instead of streamlining everything.

Replaying Metro 2033 in Ranger Easy, and installed Need for Speed 3 Hot Pursuit (1998).

Game must have been a looker back then, so much detail around the track. Plus I love the vehicle stats voice overs with the history, slideshow etc.

I played Hell Revealed some weeks ago, and now every other Doom WAD is rather bland in comparison. :(

UV -fast is a bit masochistic for a first run, but it's just a matter of getting used to.

Speaking of masochistic games, Metroid 1 is a bloody fucking pain in the ass! No map function, no switching between different beam weapons, bombing every goddamned tile in order to progress...

really, how the hell was I supposed to know the fucking ice beam was located under fake lava under a bridge.

And Tourian...holy shit. I just fucking savestated that shit coz the damn metroid gauntlet would've already drained 3 tanks and then those fucking energy rings at the end that keeping spawning at such inopportune moments...4 FUCKING HP at the end. Super Metroid is child's play compared to this. Sorta like...Super Castlevania and Castlevania 1 difference in difficulty.

Game was fantastic overall, though. Soundtrack works really well with the levels and sequences. Levels were deceptively designed even with its repeating corridors(Kraid's being the standout for music and level, of course). In fact, the first 3 problems aren't really dealbreakers when I think about it now. But Tourian is just hell and I would never want to play through that part again.
