There is nothing left to streamlineIMO it will continue on the streamlining trend set by Skyrim. Oblivion did a lot of the dumbing down, while Skyrim was a streamlining from Oblivion, removing nerfed features.

I think further streamlining would piss literally everyone off and have the game be reviewed negativelyThere is nothing left to streamlineIMO it will continue on the streamlining trend set by Skyrim. There is as long as you are creative. I watched an interview with Todd where he basically said "instead of asking ourselves what can we add into the game, we first try to remove the stuff that is superfluous". It's surprising we still have weapon variety in Skyrim, when functionally all weapons are pretty much the same unless you install an overhaul like Requiem which makes blunt weapons particularly strong against armor and skeletons, for instance.
I think further streamlining would piss literally everyone off and have the game be reviewed negatively
As you said without mods it's literally as barebones as it gets
Weapons make very little difference

Never underestimate the power of reviewers. This IGN's Skyrim review second paragraph:
Part of what makes it so enjoyable has to do with how legacy Elder Scrolls clutter has been condensed and in some cases eliminated. In Skyrim, there's no more moon-hopping between hilltops with a maxed out Acrobatics skill. That's gone, so is Athletics. The Elder Scrolls V pares down the amount of skills and cuts out attributes like Endurance and Intelligence altogether. There's no time wasted on the character creation screen agonizing over which skills to assign as major. You don't assign major and minor skills at all, but instead pick one of ten races, each with a specific bonus.
Except existence of any dialogue checks and any quest choices in Skyrim was already a reversal of dumbing down trends in Oblivion.IMO it will continue on the streamlining trend set by Skyrim. Oblivion did a lot of the dumbing down, while Skyrim was a streamlining from Oblivion, removing nerfed features.
For instance:
And so on.
- Imperials vs Stormcloaks? Shitty main quest "choices" -> let's remove all main quest options.
- A couple of dialogue checks here and there? Shitty implementation -> let's remove all dialogue checks.
Hobbits live for very long and Todd has most definitely... 'Equipped the ring'.Hodd Toward is growing old, someone else must take the reigns.

Probably truthTES6 will have no skills or attributes, just perk trees for each of combat, magic and stealth. Fighting will give you combat xp etc. Once you have enough xp you can choose a new perk. Kids love perks in their RPGs!
Yea makes senseIf ES6 takes so much time, i bet it's because they feel their competitors are the other open-world juggernauts like GTA and Witcher 3.
I suspect they'll try and emulate those models in the storytelling department ; system-wise things are going the stay more or less the same, maybe more streamlined and action-oriented...
You do know you can quote multiple people in the same post, right?
Wheel of fortune was in Oblivion. And of course it wasn't a dialogue check. It was a sanity hit.You dont think the wheel of fortune was a dialog check

A good litmus test for Codex DUMBFUCKs in training, they tend to start rambling and/or trolly threads about Bethesda games.
