I believe modding the time limit of certain things with scripts open like that will take like ~15-20 minutes of work(mostly searching for lines) so noone should complain about this specific "feature".
They have to do something like that, as players were basicly turtling behind high cover and abusing overwatch feature in XCOM:EU/EW.

I'm delighted to hear that mission time limits will be the rule rather than the exception. I didn't even really care about Meld in EW, but it helped foster a sense of urgency. It doesn't even matter to me if the limits are very generous; just having the number on the screen at all will change the complexion of gameplay so I can't just sit back on overwatch for 1000 turns. It's a big deal and a good decision.

Btw about the "global timer" I'm almost certain we will be able to delay it (or speeden it up if things go bad) by doing missions etc
So basically it will boil down to a similar procedure as the satellites just more transparent and less linear.

Hasn't changed at all, but still nice to see that my favorite part of XCOM 2012 is back:

You can. It's just a bad player punishment, like losing countries in XCOM. The only people I've seen complaining about it are people who haven't played the game--which yeah, most people haven't played it yet, but the way Jake described it makes it sound like if you are capable of tackling any mission you can always take the timer down by killing alien installations.

For me it was Thifourf. Never again.
Unless buying early access titles has the same gravity as preordering, as far as gaming sins go.
And I'm talking about supporting devs on stuff like AoD and Battle Brothers, which I'm going to launch nau, as it finished downloading.

But on a serious note - I bought nuXcom on some sale and played it with EW. It was decent but the focus was too small for me. So no hype.

At least last time they organized that "if X people preorder everyone will get Y". Other than that, see no reason to preorder, especially when there's no bonus stuff for preorders.

Mmm....in all those videoreviews and new gameplays seems like the geoscape cycle desync issue isn't fixed. I hope this is just an old build or it will be a major disappointment

Change your avatar infidel, i iz first.

Second, i dont need a shity gaming site(most of them) to tell me that a game is decent, when i can go do a youtube search and make own good decision within 10 to 20 mins OF GAMEPLAY!

For better or worse i enjoyed the new Xcom, even if i am die hard fan of UFO 1, probably finished the game at least 50 times in the last 20 years. Dont even get me started of XCOMAPOC:), even with its flaws was awesome.

The geoscape day\night cycle is completely random compared to the clock and missions time of day, at least in all those videos. When asked to devs about this issue they said "it's been fixed", so my only hope is that those are old builds.
