What happens if someone who actually fucks frying pans wants to get into LGBTRGBWGHGHFHJFBFBJJBVJBVBHVBHQWERTY-+ mafia? Will this be a degenerate fight to the death for the title of true pansexual?

More importantly, if one is fucked by a kettle, does that count as being blacked?

The characters in this game should aspire to have the personality of my well seasoned pans.

Without playing the game my initial assumptions about the companions are:

• Fugly gay vampire elf that's annoying as shit
• Fuglier female elf that's even more annoying
• Token normal white male human
• Hyper-militant Gith that is likely a defrosting ice queen, possibly the only interesting character if they have good writers, but they don't so she isn't. Also Gith lay eggs, so make of that what you will.
• Token normal non-white human. Possibly also devil-worshiper vibes so I'm assuming they're a munchkin multiclasser or just a lame warlock, cause the level cap is what... 4?!

4?! I can't be reading that right, you don't even get extra attacks yet. Level 5 should be the minimum...

My impressions for companion cast in early access version:

Bitchy edgy elf priest. Not really ugly to be honest if you change hairstyle.
Effemitate faggot vampire.
Hideous edgy gith woman.
Boring metrosexual male mage.
Token nigger that is in some sort of demonic pact with succubi slut.

All of them want to fuck your character apparently.. all at once. At least what i got from reading comments, because i didn't bother to romance anyone.

I don't know if they've introduced any other companions with updates.

Jaheira's VA hasn't worked on anything since 2001. When was the last time you heard Jaheira's voice? It sounds nothing like her, the new actress can't even get the accent right.

I confess, it's been a while since I listened to her voice. Nor have I ever cradled her picture lovingly while sobbing alone in a dark room. Do I lose my BG fan card for this?

I liked her, and her BG2 avatar and all, but are we really this invested in some roastie whose idea of a divorce is not even trying the resurrection spell she already knows and just leaving her hubby's corpse to rot in some dungeon?

For the Larian cultists here, there is any mod for dos1/2 which does it? Allow me to create my self isert power fantasy character own char and having all of the events, cutscenes and choices treating my char as an game's char?

I remember that in DoS2 you could slightly change the appearance of the origin character. I say slightly because the character creator was extremely poor.
I bet they can add the same for bg3, but that's just speculation.
You still won't be able to change race, of course, so if you don't mind basic human you will most likely be able to.

I play mostly as humans or very human like races(eg - Dhampir in Pf:WoTR/Kingmaker + Races unleashed). His(Wyll) story is the unique which I have any interest. Gale is peak "epic low level bs" and I have no interest in non arcane casters. Even when they are amazing implemented, like Death Knights in wow, I only played wow as frost mage and affliction warlock or paladins in AD&D.

As for non arcane casters companions, Shadowheart and LAE'ZEL are ok. But the others I really din't liked. And Astarion, he needs to be impaled, reanimated and impaled again and again till resurrection magic fails.

I don't think she merely discarded Khalid. I think his body was too badly damaged for any resurrection spell to work.

Resurrection in AD&D had very specific rules and metaphysical implications. Sadly I can't find the RAW. Lower level spells needed a mostly intact corpse, higher level spells worked with just bits. There was also the chance the spirit of the deceased simply wouldn't want to come back or couldn't be contacted. Considering Irenicus specialized in Soul Fuckery he may have simply annihilated it, too.

Maybe it's my memory playing tricks but most of the gameplay videos I watched about a year ago were pretty much free of cringe. Even the companions, I remember the gay vampire elf wearing baroque clothing being ridiculous, not much else.

Maybe this whole circus was made to push fan service and current year bullshit. Too much optimism I know.

D&D was always shoddy on this subject. Theoretically level 1 PC should already be a powerhouse relative to other folks who are level 0 so to speak (D&D 5) or have levels in NPC classes, not normal ones (D&D 3.0/3.5). But then again D&D 5 scaled things down considerably, Larians appear to have not received the memo about this - but then again D&D 5 evolved in a way which mitigated or flat out abrogated said scaling (mainly because of Critical Role and popularity of this kind of, eeeeeee, playstyle). So, tl;dr, level 1 PC being a commander or a super spy is not so far fetched if you have a certain ideas about levels in mind. Seducing a goddess though ...
