That's an issue that arose for me as soon as I started playing the game. The companions in the release build were programmed to actively push you to find a solution and would disagree with you if you didn't look for a cure faster. The worst one was the frog lady, which COMMANDED you to go to the house of their frog kin. Nowadays, it's not even an issue. You even get those perks things for doing random chores here and there.

It will have separate skill tree, where you give up a part of your brain for more power (and that’s some huge power).

You can just stop it’s growth with amulet (statis iirc) found in-game, but then you can’t use its powers.

I admit I did laugh at this when I played EA, but I blame the IPA I was thoroughly enjoying at the time.

But as to the eggs, it's stated quite frankly in Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes that the githyanki lay eggs.

So in addition to bear-fucking, BG 3 players will have the option to explore the miracle of the cloaca.
