I find it funny that people are demanding ending slides for a game series that only had them in one expansion, and all of the slides got ignored by Wizard's of the Coast when they made this game.
Pillars of Eternity was the better game because it had many endling slides. Granted, no one but codexers played that game till the end (guilty).

Man, that was a blast seeing those ending slides after clearing Sun-in-Shadows.

I actually have a serious frame drops in Baldur's Gate. On my brand new rig. I might have to drop settings from ultra.

Huh. Makes you suspicious about the console release. I don't think pleb machines will be able to handle this.

:philosoraptor:

I sense drama incoming.
what graphic card do you have? I bought a new rig myself and so far its been smooth sailing

I have a 1080 8GB, i7 9700k, 2x16GB of RAM and the only times framerate really drops for me in the city of Baldur's Gate is when the quakes happen and that's just there for a short burst and then it rolls on going fine.

Jaheiras approval dropped when I asked for some booze in a brothel.

Eh...

You know, Khalid staying dead makes 100% sense lore-wise. He wouldn't want to come back.

Wait until you see what they did to Viconia hahahaha.
Which is a crime, since Viconia is a full Drow, not a half-elf like Jaheria. 100 years shouldn't age her hardly at all.

The voice actress they got for her sounds nothing like Viconia either.

Once again, this is the sort of stuff that makes me scoff at people who were demanding it have original characters in it so that it could be "a real sequel". Bringing back old characters is almost never a good thing.

I killed its two bigger spiders, all 10 smaller spiders but the queen itself just hit too hard
In fairness, I was probably waaaaay overleveled for that fight. I came back and did it just before taking the western road. I think I was level 5 or 6. I probably could have easily taken her even if I didn't sneak in and knock her off her web at the start.

Took me two attempts at level 4. First one I was able to kill her but the baby spiderlings picked off my two remaining party members that had like 3 HP each at that point. Great encounter tbh, in both attempts I could stealth kill one of the bigger spiders before shit hit the fan and I got really nice music to go with the experience.

So, has anybody tried to pick the origin NPCs as their main character? How does that play like?

My brain just can't compute this concept and i would have vastly preferred classic recruitable NPCs spaced out around the world instead of being frontloaded from the get go.
My kid wanted to play Shadowheart and there was a good bit of unique content just halfway through Act 1. Likewise Dark Urge can release SH without using Illithid power and you get to start his quest from beginning.

Companion MC you get 4 companions worth of stuff done at a time instead of three. Always my preferred way of playing D:OS II.

Once Arcane Trickster gets fixed (special Mage Hand not working yet) I’ll do an Asterion MC run to save myself having to keep switching parties for best Thievery.

Ok, Wyll is the absolute worst NPC i ever seen in an RPG. We are talking Neeshka bad but for the woke crowd, because he is clearly written the way he is because he is black. It's the most pathetic example of l1brul coddling for black people i've ever seen in my life.

What's it with forum nazis and the childish hyperbole? Wyll is, at worst, unoffensively bland. The only reason you're getting your knickers in a twist is because he's a negro.
He's Gordon Goodbrother.
It's disappointing that these people are too afraid to write interesting black characters.
They don’t know any actual black people and they’re self-conscious about any earnest impulses they may harbor themselves so they blackwash them. Pretty obvious pattern at this point. See also Seelah, Ekun, Old Vailia ad nauseum.

It’s why all the ads have blax who act white too.

So who else did the mistake of undressing Jaheira?

:stunned:

Given that she's like 125-130 years old and half-elf lifespan is 180 years that makes her about 65-70 years old in human years. Show me a 70 year old with a relatively cellulite free ass like hers in real life? Face too. She looks pretty fucking good for 70 to be honest. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've done a few interactions with my party members for fun and they did a decent job in adapting the dialogue choices and narrator tone to fit them.

There is a shitload of encounters like that, that's why I want Swen to fix the balance. If I thought the game is fundamentally broken and encounter design is unredeemably bad, I would just say its shit and move on, but I think it could be a decent tacticool game, and it wouldn't even require that much work from Larian, just tweaking the numbers here and there should be enough to push it from piss poor easy to pretty fun.
Man, it's children's game. For children.

With dicks and gay bear sex and a M18+ rating?
Exactly, what horny teens are most interested in. Let's be honest, few of them are here for the hardcore gameplay.

The Gauntlet Of Shar might as well be one of my favorite D&D dungeons, at least from recent years

I'm not a fan of the "dungeon" itself (it's a bunch of gimmicks in a super linear space) but it has one of the more difficult fights in the game, so that was cool.

You could also skip that fight by convincing the fiend to commit seppuku lol.

I actually decided to play a women character to make all the things making passes at me less cringe. At least a girl on girl if it ends up happening by accident I can deal with a lot more than my big bad fighter I sort of ego tie to myself being suddenly ass rammed by some hobgoblin just because I gave him a head nod. I am still trying to actually avoid anything making passes at me, but I can tell its going to be futile, everything is trying to fuck me...
As far as I can tell, Gale never makes a pass if the player refuses to experience his "Weave", Halsin has a few dialogue options at the party one of which is a rude dismissal (telling him to go mingle with others does result in one awkward statement after the party, but you can shut him down at that point), Astarion was killed by me at the initial meeting, and Wyll is currently a corpse that remains in camp as the party moves from location to location.

Either my game is buggy or some Codexers made poor choices. :M

I just snuck up behind him.

Learned that after I did it. Never tried talking to him, sadly. Feels bad, man.
