I was wondering why anyone would turn such an annoying feature voluntarily on, but I see now how some people might enjoy it.Something you need to enable if you want:
"ADULF HITLOR FAN KLUB reacted to your post in Let's heckin' play CUCKOLD SIMULATOR withSlurp this person's delicious asshole"
to pop up on your screen while you're watching Netflix with your family.
See below. Also, I recommend to disable desktop notifications for ratings for less dopamine abuse.What is a push notification and which alert option shows alerts when a post is quoted/replied too? I think I have no idea how forums work.
Share some links/screenshots.In the fluid templates, some elements should still be fixed width like polls.
Alright, I have activated "Quotes your message" and left everything else deactivated. I only want notifications when someone replies to me directly. But what effect has "Mentions you in a message" and "Reacts to your message"? What triggers these notifications?See below. Also, I recommend to disable desktop notifications for ratings for less dopamine abuse.
Share some links/screenshots.
The "unread" image needs to be moved a couple pixels to the left. Other than that, the thread list is actually looking good now.It's now 11px. Remind me tomorrow. Right now I can't tell if 10px is too dense or not, it's all a blur.
Blutwurstritter I just mentioned you using the"Mentions you in a message"
@username
BBCode syntax.Reacts == rates a post."Reacts to your message"
Done.The "unread" image needs to be moved a couple pixels to the left. Other than that, the thread list is actually looking good now.
Yes - it's not ideal and the popup with reactions looks like an abortion. I hope this will be changed.The rating system is a total disaster, I have to click twice or even thrice to do what I used to be able to do with a single click.
The share one could probably be nuked altogether since I took out all the other social sharing buttons as well. There might be an option somewhere to turn it off. Report is a basic function so it shouldn't be hidden. That just leaves the bookmark icon. Which is pretty cool, because it's an internal XF bookmark, not a link to make a browser bookmark. It puts a post in a list of internal bookmarks under your account, here. This will likely be highly used when people figure it out.Taluntain can you please at least place "share" (who uses this?), "report" and "bookmark" under a drop down menu? Buttons that see so little interaction (particularly share and bookmark) should not be taking so much space in every post and every page. Utility design for convenience should be geared towards use frequency, we do not have that many geriatrics here to not be able to use drop down menus and if we have geriatrics they should know how to bookmark a post or share a link.
I can't believe how much clutter these little symbols create when the browser is minimized.
Scroll to the bottom left of the page, click on the style link, select one of the Small Font styles, profit.I think the default font size in posts should be a little smaller.
It'd be interesting to try out the rating pop-up activating on a mouse-over. Wasn't it like that at first, or am I imagining things?The rating system is a total disaster, I have to click twice or even thrice to do what I used to be able to do with a single click.
