There is an Info section under the Menu (along with save, load, preferences) that explains Defense and many other things. I belive the Mighty trait actually mentions the 18 STR requirement when you are looking at it. But yes, I do still have some explaining to do, and I will continue adding to the info section and to pop-ups.Yeah. There should be in-game pop-up boxes that explain stuff, LoreMaster. Not only stats, but also other things. The requirements for the traits, for example: you explained me that, in order to buy "Mighty", you need 18 points of strength, but the UI doesn't provide this information. Since the majority of traits (at least in the first hours) doesn't have specific requirements, the normal reaction is "Okay, this trait is bugged".
Another example: how does the skill level work? If I reduce it, abilities and spells cost less MP, but I can't see a significant drop in damage. So... why shouldn't I reduce it?
Just two examples. The game is good, but it needs - among other things - more transparency.
I can't see what Spell you are looking at specifically, but that would be health I believe. If you use the button to the left it provides more information on the Spell or Ability. What is defense exactly and is it related to armor in any way?
Also, what does this part indicate?
The spell was Heal, so I think now I get it - it says the spell heals for base of 69, is that what you are saying? There is an Info section under the Menu (along with save, load, preferences) that explains Defense and many other things. Yep. There can be some additional modifiers on that for a number of reasons, but generally that's the amount you will heal by.The spell was Heal, so I think now I get it - it says the spell heals for base of 69, is that what you are saying?
I've plugged it in a few big (50k+) Facebook groups for you, but the problem is most are obsessed with Final Fantasy 16 at the mo and it's drowning everything else out, much like TotK did a short while back.I don't mind answering a bit. Sales were good at first since platform algorithms give you as boost, and now come in bursts. It's quite easy to disappear into obscurity in onslaught of new games and AAA titles if you don't have a marketing team (which I do not). It helps when people discuss the game because it gives it visibility, so this thread is very helpful. At this point my daily sales can range from 0 to 10. Not enough to be a full time job, but also nothing to snuff at. The reception from those who have played and total sales are still more than I ever expected from my little hobby.LoreMaster how have sales been? I'm not asking for Vault Dweller-level frankness here (though that's always appreciated), just wondering whether you've done well, whether you view sales as a success etc.
Thanks! I really appreciate that! Yes, there are plans for a sequel. I'm currently porting to iPhone and maybe some others platforms first, but as I go that's helping optimize some things in the game. I consider it all prep for the sequel.I've plugged it in a few big (50k+) Facebook groups for you, but the problem is most are obsessed with Final Fantasy 16 at the mo and it's drowning everything else out, much like TotK did a short while back.I don't mind answering a bit. Any plans for a sequel btw?
I do plan for it eventually, there's just so much on my plate I don't know how soon it will be. I can't really give a timetable on it right now.LoreMaster just got the game in the sale there, are you still planning on achievements? saw mention of them a while ago. I usually only fully play through games once before sinking in the endless char creation restart mire so if they are coming id just wait a while and play then.
Np, thanks for taking the time to reply. In that case ill be getting started soon as!I do plan for it eventually, there's just so much on my plate I don't know how soon it will be. It's the Steam summer sale, and I am told it's always a good idea to participate. Otherwise I'd have have waited. But hopefully the sudden influx will help with promotion too. Thanks for buying! You already put a 50% discount on this game!?
I won't be able to play it for a while... but into the cart goes.

Quick note on this: I don't think you can view the trait description until you can access it, since it is greyed out and you are unable to click if you do not meet the requirements.I belive the Mighty trait actually mentions the 18 STR requirement when you are looking at it.
I hadn't considered that. Good point. I've been planning to allow all traits to be viewed even if not accessible, so this is more pressure in that direction.Quick note on this: I don't think you can view the trait description until you can access it, since it is greyed out and you are unable to click if you do not meet the requirements.I belive the Mighty trait actually mentions the 18 STR requirement when you are looking at it.
I think they do, but I don't recall getting a notification to participate. I don't see a way to participate now, but I'll take another look.No 50% discount in GoG (they also have summer sales)?
