Not exactly true (it was 18 months, so not quite 1 year) but if you were to hit the same standard with today's modern tools it'd definitely be doable. There are a lot of wonderful workflow optimizations we have now especially on the art pipeline for low-poly.back in my day, in one year a whole system shock 2 could be made.
That's what NPCs still praise them for to this day, so...I don't know if you people noticed, but this was their initial free dlc list. Most of this shit got implemented in their patches already, but it's hilarious what would they market as a free goodie just to make themselves look nice and generous. A fucking mirror that toggles their version of "showracemenu" or a pack with goddamn poses... Fucking disgusting.
For your sake I hope you're using something like JSGME as a mod manager.Improve modding? They broke half the shit I was using! And I haven't even installed any scripted stuff. The Deus Ex radio? Fucks with the Additional Content option in the main menu. The car reskins I was using? Now they all load low-LOD versions. Clothes mods? Scrambled icon sets.I waited in vain to hear something about improving modding support.tl;dr how is the third party group doing in fixing the game and giving modding capabilities to this clunker? The one good hair mod? Just doesn't work anymore.Couldn't even start the game until I tracked down the outdated cursor mod that was crashing it.
CDPR stole my Red Ferrari™and gave my waifu a bad haircut!
P.S. Oh, and just for the record, I also had to update my GPU driver to restore DLSS function and then I found they picked my pocket for another ~3 FPS.I hope Bruxelles takes their €uromoneyz and gives it to Swen, at least he's honest about his shit being Early Access!
P.P.S. False alarm, hair mods still work fine. Maybe it spazzed out because I'd previously edited the save in Save Editor, the slot changed. I no longer hope Bruxelles gives CDPR's €uromoneys to Swen.

Muh immershun is very important to CDPR, it's why the game is in first-person (and totally not because they ran out of time/money to implement third-person animations), and now you can even shower in your apartment, and there's animations for eating food! Then I was reminded that crafting exists and you can just whip up a gun in the middle of the street with your bare hands, complete with random numbers.
But gerey games like Mafia 1 and GTA IV are far more immersive and have many more simulation elements than Soyberpunk despite being in third-person
The more narrow FOV in 1st person is also a factor, makes it more bearable on consoles. The "1st person will make you more immersed"/"you are V" argument was the cringiest one.Muh immershun is very important to CDPR, it's why the game is in first-person (and totally not because they ran out of time/money to implement third-person animations)
No, been dumping them in manually. So far I've been okay, not using that much stuff, but I might be getting to the point a manager's justified if I do a second run. You find it's made your life easier? I don't wanna touch Vortex, so another option's definitely interesting. For your sake I hope you're using something like JSGME as a mod manager.
f***ing asshole.
When i saw all the pop ups and message saying "deleting windows" i instantly shut down my PC.
How is this s*** even allowed?
Just google JSGME - it's not integrated with nexus, it doesn't connect to the internet, and it's game-agnostic. Every installation of it you make (for every different game) is stand-alone.. Also, third comment, lol:

It's actually just 42 mods, when I took out the radiostation mods and a few other mods I didn't think I need.
Total size of all the mods - just 122 mb. The game seems to allow for very clean modding.
One mod was crashing the game at startup because it wasn't up to date with the latest game patch, removed it.
The guy who has made the modlist has also included his own mod there, which is actually a configuration of various other mods from the modlist in order to balance their changes. That mod overrides other mods' files and can only be found uploaded on a "Cyberpunk 2077 Modding" discord server. There are two servers by that name. Pure genius. I also had to delete his custom configuration for the mod "Muted Markers", because it was also crashing the game at startup. Didn't bother to investigate it.
I played a little with the mods on. Due to the weapons rebalance it's next to impossible to pass the rescue mission with the gun you start out with. Typical mods things.
Wasn't aware of it, thanks. Might give it a go once I'm ready to expand this install. CBP's mod loading is fairly flexible, what with pack names being irrelevant so it's easy to keep track, but it's a shame you can't organise stuff in subfolders, like NWN2's Override let you.Just google JSGME - it's not integrated with nexus, it doesn't connect to the internet, and it's game-agnostic. It doesn't contain the feature bloat to resolve file conflicts, just warns you what would be overwritten.

I think it was 10 months, wasn't it?Icewind dale has been created in just 7 months.

Now, let's be fair here. Much like how film directors of old were able to make a ton of movies (John Ford made over 150), older games were technically less sophisticated and thus easier to maker. I do not possess encyclopedic knowledge in regards to Infinity Engine RPG's but from what I know, Icewind Dale would not be made in such a short time if Baldur's Gate did not come before it, and it took 3 years to develop that game. Cyberpunk 2077 is still a bizarre case though, and that can be noted without resorting to hyperbolic comparisons.
