The key to getting rich in Cyberpunk 2077 is disassembling everything from soft drink cans to weapons... usually the value of the retrieved components is 2..3 times higher than that of the object. How could something so RETARDED escape review at any point of development is beyond me
:retarded:

The bestest game evar, ELEX, had this "feature" too.

You waddle into a thread, get down on your knee's and start blowing the devs / publishers defending these multi-million dollar companies.. for free.. with asinine and retarded logical fallacies.. Do you just get off white knighting for companies who scam you?
Why do you lie?

For Fun.

So they are able to parse and uncook textures
https://github.com/WolvenKit/CP77Tools/blob/main/CP77Tools/Model/Archive.cs#L143-L167

But it's not clear to me if they are parsing mesh data.. I'll be watching this closely - good find.

What modding tools are out..?

There are already tools for extracting the archives and uncooking the textures. Soon they will support re-packing and data mods will be possible.

https://github.com/WolvenKit/CP77Tools/releases

I'm sure meaningful mods that actually add content to the game are right around the corner.. :eye_roll:
I think we got our first Witcher 3 quest like a month ago?

Still I appreciate this git link thanks for sharing, I'd love if I can get the Mesh / Rigs / Animation keyframes as well though.

Yeah I doubt we'll see anything massively significant. Does mean rebalance and tweaks will be possible though.

Strange, made absolutely zero difference in my case. Then, on a hunch, I just removed the file altogether and guess what? The game loads and performs just the same, it doesn't even automatically generate a new copy. Could it be a platform thing, where the game defaults to some other, internal configs on newer hardware?

I tried it and didn't have a crash yet, so it seems to have done something. Before I got the feeling it had a memory leak or something going, since the game would crash and reloading it at the same spot would immediately crash it again unless I rebooted.

On very hard, is there any point to use anything other than silenced pistol and silenced sniper rifle. I mean you can headshot people one by one.
Or you can takedown them one by one, or shoot them through the walls while they just sit there and take it, or stand near the door and cut them down with katana(or dildo) while they run to you one by one, or hack everybody to death through the video camera. AI cant do shit.

And all this you can do starting at level 1, doesn't matter which skills you leveled up. Which is hardly surprising, with perks like +2% damage while snoozing.

Its Pop-a-mole: the game, reminds me of fallout 3 somewhat.

So it seems Mack's review had been censored on Youtube (and Google), the search engine doesn't show it anywhere. And it wasn't even a particularly ranty review, he said a lot of good things in it, but obviously pointed out how broken it is.

So I make sure to sneak in and take down everyone non-lethally

Non-lethal is a little bit buggy, it's possible to finish off people you've knocked out by accident quite easily.

I've killed a few knocked out people by carrying their bodies and putting them down which has caused the physics to spaz out and kill them.

On one hand, I think this game would have benefitted from a smaller scale, hub-based structure akin to Deus Ex or VTMB. The missions shine, dialogues range from servicable to good, and moment to moment gameplay isn't half bad.

On the other hand, I kinda got over the bugs and nonexistant AI and just kinda lost myself in the city. There's something strangely ethereal about driving below these humongous skyscrapers, just like the solitude that comes from riding through the forests at midnight in KCD. The atmosphere isn't oppressive, the open world is pretty and glossy, it's just pure escapism, and I dig it a lot.

Eh.. De-Oodling textures and assets is great. Don't get me wrong.
This is a far cry from patching the internal routines and actually solving performance / AI issues though. That would take extensive reverse engineering.. You are talking years of researching the game binaries.. There's not gonna be any easy fix soon from the community for the biggest issues this game has, unless it comes from CDPR with source code access.
(Even with source code access they seem to be having some difficulties lmao)

But yea.. we'll probably see texture swaps / clothing swaps.. the obligatory "Everyone is Naked" mod. Maybe if they externalize their game data to configuration / lookup tables and people can unpack those you'll see some basic mods that add new items to the game or whatever.

I really wanted to unpack the assets though so this is pretty cool.

Since Cyberpunk 2077’s release, and before players started requesting refunds, some managed to stabilise the framerate using… unorthodox techniques. Reddit user Tylerjordan1994 discovered that firing a gun in any crowded area will force NPCs to disperse.

Given the limited memory on the base consoles, simply looking away from panicked NPCs is enough to get them to vanish entirely, bringing the framerate closer to the target 30fps.

yep only street kid feels natural

Playing Nomad. Yes it seems like V is type of street kid overall mostly due to timeskip where they just are street pavers for years but RPing as nomad especially later does feel like nomad who doesn't know if he actually likes NC or if he just want to get out of city and go back to being nomad. Especially after Aldecados questline whole feel of character changes. Those "nomad" tags might be a lot of fluff but they indeed change character feel an you get cues how to RP stuff that is not with "nomad" tag.

So my netrunner nomad feels like guy who doesn't change his mind a lot but once he does he stays on on that new mind and basically wants to get out of NC. Street kid is there but it is something he just learned to do not something he enjoys being.

They went with TW2 approach to RP. So basically what you think about your chracters is sum of what you do and your choices. For example if you went with Iorweth you naturally inclined to be more rebel type who would risk his neck for others and feels that Aerdyn should be independent. If you go with Roach you are basically there to clean yourself and all of politics is side stuff that doesn't interest you.

This culminates with Letho ending where based on your choices Letho could be for you complete asshole who you want to kill or dude who is your bro. Letho story and character doesn't change, it is you as player who think differently based on different events that happened.

Maybe that was just a bug, or when I said I would kill them in an earlier conversation with the quest giver (where his response was to let me know he wanted me to resolve it non-violently, or at least non-lethally, if possible) that locked me in on the kill them all quest resolution or something.

In any case, it is either bad quest design or bad scripting/testing.

There were some other cases where I specifically took enemies down non-lethally or used blunt weapons on them, and the NPCs still acted like I had killed them.

That looks like a bug to me. i think game considers choking people out non lethal not actually htting them over the head with baseballs and mod to not do lethal damage.

Do they really give a quest? I had initially assumed they did when I first saw them seemingly having unique dialog and animations. So I went closer to see if I could talk to them and see what was going on (as you might expect to do in a real RPG) and immediately discovered the most harshly enforced law in all of Night City. Standing within 10 feet of a police officer for more than 3 seconds. The penalty is of course, death.

Ever since then I made sure to never move close to them or any other police officer. Although I have occasionally still had warrants for breaking this very serious law when I accidentally wander into a group of police officers when I am not paying much attention and navigating off the minimap.

they do but it takes like 2-3 times walking out of your apartament and you need to specifically be near them as it is V that pops out question not them. As for police in NCPD they are basically gang onto themselves lore wise and they don't fuck around if they see some shady guy walking up to them and not talking. They do warn you to back off though.

The ludonarrative dissonance of Jackie dying from a single gunshot wound while you're tanking everything with your face is hilarious.
And he gets shot a ton normally and is fine.
That being said, was it even a round from the drone that injured him, or the fall?
Delamain not being allowed to divert from the set mission course to a ripperdoc and having not even a first aid kit on board in spite of the supposed top notch medical package or whatever the excelsior thing included... Worse is that you can't even give him one of those hypos/inhalers you use to heal yourself (nor can he use on himself, even though enemies can)... Yeah.

So much contrived bs just to kill off that character. They should have let Adam Smasher tear his arm off or something at least.

UI repair and more PC friendliness (e.g. being able to hit any UI key to go to any UI part FROM any UI part) are my top wishlists. There are some mods that offer more options, and mods that give you walk, etc., and they're nice, but there's still too much lingering stench of console in the UI.

I like that there are a lot of comments like "This game is a janky, clunky, glitchy, buggy alpha version, not an RPG, bullet spongey, with broken AI and economy, blah-blah... but I kinda enjoy it!"

And I won't be surprised if CP becomes GOTY with this kind of attitude.
But of course it is and righfully so, there's not nearly the same amount of discussions for real rpgs out this year , those interest almost no one here . Trigger people here and the usual 10 codexer rejects , the lowest scum in the gutter, come to button spam , you'll never ever see them commenting , discussing mechanics nor even rating int he other threads. Also it wont be moved to general gaming, cause staff is scared of the polish crowd, they will unzip their pants and take it if they ask them too.

this is the same shitty argument neolibs have while big tech shadowbans people for partisan politic bullshit reasons.

What a fucking joke, his review was very fair and truthful - the game is dragged down massively by a plethora of bugs. But hey, let's just remove any dissent from search results and pretend everything is fine.

I'm anticipating that the best case scenario for this game is 4 years' worth of patches and content drops, then everybody will be back to sucking corpo dick again.

Wattson Whore diary at lizzie bar is great. "Made myself a dress from synthetic fetuses". Idk if they make fun of that tranny celebrity or not, but it sure sound like satire, even if unintentional[?]. And "she" calls himself "he".

Wrapped it up in about 20ish hours without doing a ton of side quests
main complaints are pretty similar to W3 actually,
1.) time critical main quest that's not all that interesting and can be ignored to run around and do sidequests, game probably would have been better off dropping the whole biochip/silverhand deal and making it more of corps maneuvering for the next war.
2.) itemization isn't great to say the least
3.) life style starts seem pretty blah and don't appear to have a ton of impact, despite doing corpo V, my character ended up being snarky/sarcastic with every interaction, major downfall of having a voiced player character

still a bretty gud game unless you were expecting an actual rpg or a gta-like instead of cyberwitcher
