Got any other recommendations for 2.0 mods?
Aother minor QoL mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/535 No more dark vignette around your screen while crouched/sneaking. No dependencies.

The more impactful stuff like "Lifepath Bonuses and Gang Corp Traits", "Enemies of Night City" is still waiting for the underlying "framework" mods to get updated. On the other hand, various rebalance mods will also need some time for their authors to test the 2.0 changes and decide what they want to rebalance from the new system... I can't wait for the clothes to get back in business. Since they got cleared of ingame effects in 2.0 they are like a blank canvas for modders to add systems like Street Style used to do: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/2975

As far as my impressions of the 2.0 changes go so far, I think it's conceivable that we get a large mod that introduces a gang faction system. Reputation with gangs could be scripted to open items for purchasing in the shops located in that gang's respective turf. Now that weapons, clothes and cyberware are no longer MMO-style, and uniques are more meaningful, this could be a successful integration of ingame systems. Various gangs could "specialize" in different subtypes of wepons, hacks, and cyberware types, which could introduce systemic C&C where the player chooses his gang friends according to his build's needs... I can see such a mod surfacing eventually, none of this is technically too complex, but relatively time consuming to implement.

hah. thanks to new collision avoidance, if you drive in the middle of the road(in between lanes, cars driving in opposite direction will give you space!
Yet I've noticed that on turnpikes NPC cars often bug out, respawn in the wrong coordinates or something and crash into barriers or turnpike booths. It was also cool to witness systemic gang warfare encounters on the road where they shoot at each other from their vehicles.

Modding for this game is such a labyrinthine clusterfuck.
Even mod dependencies have dependencies far worse than anything I've seen in other games.
It's not that hard. There are a few underlying mods that most of the others depend on. See these posts:

Nah, Vyvian's right, CBP's mod scene is a byzantine clusterfuck of nested interdependencies. CET, Redscript, Cybercmd, Red4Ext, TweakDB, ArchiveXL etc., all base frameworks that do nothing on their own, and each one may or may not break independently on every single game patch, each getting updates as and when their individual authors have time. Then you've got your intermediate framworks, like RadioExt or Virtual Atelier, and then, finally, you get your function and content mods.

By comparison, most Skyrim or Fallout 4 mods depend on a single base framework - the Script Extender. You will also have some content mods that need additional, specialised frameworks, but it's nowhere near this deep and convoluted. Much of what all those base frameworks do (extending game content) is possible with the standard CK, the rest is covered by the single Script Extender.

CDPR ignored the mod scene for too long, so the community came up with their own solutions to extend the game. That's to their credit, on the one hand, but the fragmentation makes it an absolute chore. As a result, the "best" way to enjoy Cyberpunk 2077 at its maximum potential would be to keep on waiting until CDPR's completely done with the post-Phantom Liberty patch cycle and then install your mods once and you're done.

That is not exclusive to c77. Most of modding looks like that today. Most of modders are attentionwhores now and they will not work together with someone on one framework. They will work on their own part and will force everyone to download it as dep.
Even stardew valley has like bazylion requirements for some mods to install.

Looks like they didn't reduce the price of clothing to make up for the fact it no longer gives stats, buying an apartment is roughly 2 t-shirts.

I see that Vic is still salty because his beloved game turned out to be crap and looks bad compared to any other game.
I'm very upset with Todd withholding the Starfield CK for now because I genuinely want to try the game, I'm circumspect of the idea that it could possibly play worse than Cyberpunk. Don't get me wrong, I've had some fun with CDPR's movie-game, it has some merits, but Fallout 4's the better design hands-down and it's hard to imagine Todd fucking up so bad as to miss that mark.

If only there were a webzone thing, like a forum where I could read considerate and insightful critique of RPGs. Yeah, that would be handy. Oh, well, at least I have a forum covering the tripartite Belgo-Polish-American consumer war.

cyberpunk is as shallow as a puddle compared to starfield, I absolutely do not enjoy railroaded games, which cyberpunk is, also very little interactivity with the game world.

starfield has already almost 50% of the amount of mods that cyberpunk has

not being salty btw

Internet communities are falling apart in general. Generational change and the dominance of the "social network" over the "message board". Also, too many damn retards are on the internet today compared to the 1990s, makes it harder to sift through the noise to find any valuable info. Just look at threads here, there are like 10% if that of people actually playing and having played, the rest just spam and repost useless shit from other places.

So we just slap a coat of gold paint over the shit, that paint is called AI, and we join hands in prayer that the new oracle will give better predictions than the old one (which actually fed it its data but nvm that)

Does the city have more activities to do now or it still feels dead?

I remember that I loved the city of this game but exploring it wasn't that fun because it lacked interactivity.

Despite pawel shilling left and right.. all they added were police mechanics, car combat (GTA 3) and like weird airdrop things similar to Rust...? (These are "endless content")

Supposedly there is more quests and "Events" (You know when your driving and suddenly 10 cops and robbers start shooting each other and if you accidentally fart they all go hostile and shoot you? Ya more of those)

If you were hoping you could start walking into buildings or interacting with the city - nope. :smug:

I'd say Night City and Atlantis are about the same.. filled with buildings / elevators you can't meaningfully interact with.
NPC's that are retarded and on fake schedules to walk between despawn points.

The only difference is.. Bethesda used to do a good job at this. (It was the only thing they did well before installing 200 gigs of mods)

You can run around the city with guns drawn and nobody bats an eye.

America.

Also the cops seem to aggro at random sometimes. Cleaned out some Tyger claws they were in a gunfight with, and they didn't have a single issue with me doing that, but then while I was looting they decided I was a threat to security.

is this another thread where everybody is bitching about the game?
maybe I'm sitting this one out and just enjoy playing the game instead of arguing with you retards

Uninstalled the game after 3 hours, it's way edgier (and jankier) than I remembered, also had 5 crashes during that time. Not gonna bother with the DLC, enjoy kids.

Vic do you ever stop to think.. maybe everyone around you isn't wrong.. it's just you being a slow retard?
I don't think you guys are wrong, its just that you are too overstimulated to enjoy Starfield. It's impossible to play Cyberpunk without some kind of visual or auditory distraction popping up every 0.5 seconds. And the sex, oh boy it's so overblown and cringe. And this is what people who hate on Starfield are enjoying... No, you are not wrong, you are just victims of our modern times and I pity you.
"You see you need to be 80 years old to enjoy Starfield's true majesty..."
"Sex is icky...even though the world of Cyberpunk isn't meant to celebrate sex and consumerism but warn against commercialization and exploitation of everything."
It's supposed to be over the top, that's the point of the shithole version of the world the game exists in.
What the fuck even is this weird point you're trying to make?
I think what Vic meant to say is that Cyberpunk 2077 is rather crass when it comes to exploring themes like sex, violence, corporate corruption and the whole "high tech - low life" aesthetic that the original tabletop game is all about.

Gangbanger 1: Ey Josuke, theres a weird rando who's been staring at us. I think he might be listening in on our little talk.
Gangbanger 2: Eh don't worry about it.
Gangbanger 1: He looks like he's readying his gun and priming a grenade...
Gangbanger 2: I said DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT. Anyway, how's your sex life?

Gangbangers explode.

Game feels like an edgy 16 year old version of Starfield. Too much sex and trying too hard to be “gangstah”.

I have a headache from the overstimulation of visuals and sound after playing for 2 hours. Adderall zoomer game.

I had a similar impression. Loved CP2077 when it came out and in my memory CP2077 was more stylish and cinematic, but now playing it again just after Starfield I am just struck how disgusting CP2077 is.

Junkies, gangs, sleaze, casual murder everywhere.

Hero of the story is some junkie rock star who nuked a jap corp arcology, killing 20000 people.

Sure you can say it's all "ironic" but come on. Give me a wholesome Bestheda boomer RPG over this depraved garbage any day.

Decided not to do a new playthrough, just gonna use the old save because a second playthrough is so god damn annoying, when you know what's gonna happen.

I completely forget how little control you have on the story in 2077. Very little choices to make, most of the dialogues are just for the flavors and has no impact on the story. Especially those silverhand scenes, which are just linear through and through, and it's so god damn long, with no meaningful gameplay(all you can do is shooting a psitol), it's just a chore to go through.

Sometimes they even give you a single dialogue option for you to "choose". Really bizzare choice considering there is already so much auto talk in the game.

Also there are way too many "walk with this NPC" scenario.

Encountered the same 2 bugs I also experienced on my first playthrough back during release, screen glitching from a Johnny cutscene and a bug in the Judy/Eve mission where kerenzikov will just stop working, forcing a restart. "Quality".

It seems monowire has no perks apart from like 3 somewhere within the INT haxxor tree, and it doesn't benefit from "blades" bonuses. So the only way it is useful now is if you go haxxor and abuse the "quickhack on hit" mechanic, rather than become a slicing and dicing killing machine :decline:

Optical camo, I'm not sure how it worked in 1.0, has ridiculous cooldown time for barely any duration. But that would be ok if it didn't take a quick use slot, that you only can have two of because cuntsoles. So should I pick grenades, a healing item or a long ass cooldown optical camo? Yeah, not much of a choice. I guess the "cool" perks that grant auto-use of optical camo on crouching etc. are supposed to work around that...

Throwing knives from stealth is rather fun, although they should have proper shinobi daggers in the game for the full chromed Joe Musashi experience. Also I'm not sure if stacking sneak attack and headshot bonuses will let me one shot almost everything later on, hard to tell so far with the level scaling.

Also I wonder if it is possible to treat tech as the dump stat. I noticed that once a shard dropped increasing my cyberware capacity permanently, but I'm not sure if it drops often enough to neglect getting more tech. Also body should have granted you more capacity if you ask me...

Lmao they made level scaling even worse, unbelievable. Uninstalled this shit. Glad I got both the base game and the DLC for very cheap. Hopefully modders will fix that mess in a year or so.

Still waiting for the day to come where FP-RPG devs stop trying to tie levels and stats to damage mechanics and combat in general. Make it matter for bullet dispersion + skills available and call it a day, fuckers. RPGs shouldn't be Destiny 2 copies, for fuck's sake. OG Deus Ex remains the best implementation I've seen, and it looks like it will be a while until we see something better.

but their actual tuning will be done by modders.
You caught any wind of any mods that'll do something about the level scaling? It's about the only thing holding me back from playing 2.0 right now.

Honestly with how shit they made the scaling I'll even take a mod that purges most level-related progression keeping it at 1 and just allows you to get new perks as you get the experience.
