Fooled around on PS5 for a few hours both with my level 36 Qinalo and with a Corpo start Justine Hammer V.

PLUS
- It seems like there's a lot more variety in civilian pedestrians now? I see a lot of fat dudes and midgets/ kids walking about now.
- Less loot is a plus?
- Every build can use crafting/ components now?
- Every build can get all the quickhacks now without metagaming? But you need to invest in INT perks to actually be (kind of) effective?
- Driving feels a lot better now?
- All builds get stuff like knife throw and Hidden Dragon takedowns for free now?
- Economy fixed? No infinite money with Tech Ability scams?

MINUS
- The new cyberware is kind of underwhelming. Just a lot of armor/ health/ mitigation/ stamina bonuses, nothing build defining like Opti-Camo, Double Jump legs, etc...
- The level 20 perks seem kind of meh? Not much reason to raise to 20, which means most min-max builds are going to have every stat at 9/15
- Overall disappointed with the new perk tree, although I guess it's an improvement on the old one
- Stealth still seems like cheese

It's really bizarre they don't have a replayable racing mode. As-is, the endgame is collecting really expensive cars and then never driving them :hmmm:

alright uninstalled BG3 for this, decided to keep Starfield instead in case Cyberpunk gameplay isn't as fun. But I should be good as I remember having a good time on release

is this another thread where everybody is bitching about the game?

maybe I'm sitting this one out and just enjoy playing the game instead of arguing with you retards I see Fedora Master is still rating spamming even in this thread wow you are such a sad loser, do you hug your anime body pillow while spamming those ratings?

PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath
The mechanics changes are great, but their actual tuning will be done by modders.

I'm just done with the first 6 hours of the story, after talking with Takemura at Tom's Diner. At this point I'm lvl 10, so you start the actual open world game with 9 perk points, and 16 attribute points already allocated. That's enough to have one tree developed far enough to open the 2nd tier perks.

is this another thread where everybody is bitching about the game?
Why even read such clowns?

I loaded my old save that was up to Nocturne Op55n1 first to see how it was impacted. Apparently I got there at level 25ish, so I wasn't fulling out multiple trees or anything. Stealth still works good, hacking needs more thought now you get traced. My gear and ware was a bit scuffed, some illegal builds, and ram feels a lot tighter than before.

Started over with a redneck tech/body build and yeah, things feel so much nicer. No more item vomit all over the screen, more threatening combat, perks you can aim for. Also if you wanna feel the stamina system actually doing things, use a shotgun. I had one that knocked off half my stam per shot.

New cop system works as expected, maybe a bit overdone. I discovered though, while hiding from the 800 squad cars that come after you for a simple fender bender, that if you trigger the Jesse Cox quest and don't talk to him, after a bit his dick explodes and kills him, which is nice.

Story missions still ass, gigs still best parts of game. Berserker now straight up "local man literally too angry to die" and I'm here for it. More focus on melee, seeing more enemies using cyberware and items. It's decent.

The majority of active mods on Nexus are some variety of pretty princess dressup shit, that's how you know the game is a successful high quality product...

From what people are saying here, it sounds like CDPR have just incorporated the most popular mods into the game, and are palming them off as their own development.

They pulled that shit with the TW3 update a while ago too (Wasteland Ghost, one of the original XCOM Long War mod authors and maker of the best mod for TW3, Ghost Mode, posted an email exchange a while ago, where she ripped into them for basically just changing the code a bit to disguise what they were doing). Their plausible deniability is that they do officially "acknowledge the contribution modders make to the game," and to be fair they did list some of the mods that they'd worked into TW3. But not all of them. It's a bit sleazy, but I guess if it improves the game, and so long as they do acknowledge the "inspirations" from specific modders, it's all good.

So they made a good decision for once? That is newsworthy

It's a better vanilla foundation to build upon for sure but by this level I was enjoying my modded 1.5 playthrough a lot more. I am currently level 12 so I don't have a character build going yet so that might change later today as I unlock the stuff I need for my netrunner pistol/blades build to become viable.

That being said I'm glad I don't need to wait for overhaul mods to enjoy Phantom Liberty.

So, is it not shit now?
disregarding the crashes I’m feeling bored as it’s too railroaded. Also I’m getting arrested by 2 black cops and then have to bow down to a black kween in the tutorial. People were shitting on Starfield but while I’ve been playing this railroaded shooter I’ve kept thinking I could be playing Starfield right now.

Everything in the game is just for show and you can’t interact with it, and the controls are fucking ridiculous. Yeah it’s “cinematic” and hooks you in with a gay bromance story but I’m not seeing what this has over Starfied. Combat AI is just as dumb.

This is my third playthrough now, with the first 2 being on release almost 3 years ago so maybe that’s what may contribute to my feeling of absolute boredom and annoyance dealing with the controls.

Game feels like an edgy 16 year old version of Starfield. Too much sex and trying too hard to be “gangstah”.

I have a headache from the overstimulation of visuals and sound after playing for 2 hours. Adderall zoomer game.
