and Magic ore should have been kept as a rare resource (the weapons that need it only need a nugget or two anyway)
Gotta love logic "thing X which I use need only small amount of material Y, therefore Y should be rare and I don't give shit about others". You don't use scrolls, I get it, but let's not pretend that there whole Valley of Mines on Archolos. While encountering ore deposit I never thought " ah another one of those", my reaction was "Wow ore deposit cool *sounds of Marvin running and starting digging*" Maybe I skipped some cave filled with thousands tonnes of Ore, but I didn't felt that it was common resource.

Scrolls only needed dust, though, and I saw it at quite a few vendors. I guess you could buy it all out from them, but before you worked through it all, wouldn't you already have runes?

Not all spells have runes and usage of some good ones locked behind chapter 3 (if you not willing to climb some walls early on) while scrolls aviable much earlier for copy. I managed to get some runes/circles early, but it's because I aren't afraid to get into some places early on. Let's not increase suffering of our more autistic brethren, who decided to suffer for our sins while advancing through chapters without normal spells.

Finally getting back to this (took a week off).

Vardahl question

Is there anything that can be done with the pantry? Or is it just a trap to lose a miner. On a side note, I'm kinda annoyed I couldn't assign one of my Badass fighters to defend them. They could paste two skeletons no problem.

Tygrende - don't know if you've gotten past this part yet or not, but I figured you'd like to know that you can find at least three gargoyle hearts in Vardahl.

It's not that they require a whole ore, it's that the amount of dust required becomes absurd.

Take ice wave for instance. It requires 55 (or 50, my memory is a little spotty) dust to make one scroll. Granted, such spells are powerful so it makes sense that it requires a fair amount of resources if you want to build around them.

If anyone hasn't realized this yet: you can crush a single ore nugget into ~100 pieces of ore dust at an alchemy table. A mage doesn't have any other use for the stuff, so you can get enough dust from processing ore to make dozens of the strongest scrolls in the game at any point if you so choose.

Oh yeah, I forgot to point that out. It's a great way to use extra ore after you build your super sword as well.

Anyways, I'm DONE!!

What a ride, gents.

What a ride.

I think I'll wait for the patch that's supposed to come soon before I do a mercenary play through.

What are the strongest scrolls you can create? Doesn't the game gate you out of creating scrolls from certain schools?

end stats

Looking at your stats, the game does seem to be in need of some slight rebalancing. I'm midway through chapter 5 and at a point where I don't need to spend any LPs anymore.

Yeah, you can't write beliar specific spells (including summon demon), fire spells (I think, at least the higher ones like fire wave), paladin spells, or transformation spells.

Anything else is fair game. Including spells that are linked to Adanos but of a higher spell circle than 4 (in other words, ice wave).

edit - oh and destroy undead, despite being listed as a neutral spell for some odd reason, isn't writable either.

I think the "strongest" spell is Storm, with a 400 damage AOE. Strongest single-target is Lightning. Both are available as runes but you don't get them until the game stops being challenging anyway.

Water fist feels better than both of those though to be honest.

Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Codex Year of the Donut I'm very into cock and ball torture
They're writing the patch notes for the new update right now so patch might be tonight.

Ore nugget into crushed ore rate depends on a skill, dunno if it is Alchemy or Magic Circles, but you get more the more you have. I never got 100. I got 30 each, or maybe 35.

Okay, I finished it after 71 hours. What can I say except echo what others have said. Gothic finally has a trilogy of good games.

That gal is remarkably chipper when you rescue her (especially considering her face looks like someone tap danced on it). She also just stays in that field for the rest of the game, cheerfully saying hi whenever I checked on her.

Dunno if the last bit was a bug though.

If you keep extremely on right while exiting Vardhal ruins you can avoid triggering a scene with Ulrfyk and Wolf Loosers. After that you can go to Water Monastery but its close and even if you enter it by walking/jumping around the edges head mages are missing and one on place don't want talk to you. So unfortunately after walking around with Peacemaker you have to return to Valdhar to handle the PM to Ulryk.

WTF, after 71 hours I was still killing young scavengers in chapter 2. What a speedrun mate.

Terry doesn't give a crap, does he?

I'm there fighting four scavengers, and all he did was sing his song in the background. I hate bards.

I just knew that top room at Araxos was too empty.
