DU is attending and will mushroom slap everyone from Fargo on down.

They're never going to be allowed to make a bad game again.

We were contacted by a third party and asked if we thought there was something inXile could do to let inXile address the Codex.
This is like a friend who keeps patching up a dysfunctional relationship. :D

Just because you try and disseminate does not mean we don't know that you are the third party.

Nope, MRY had nothing to do with this (and of course he's not the Californian we're sending)

- Is there some actual Brian Mitsoda content in the gaem (as they promised during the KS and stated again in their forums during development)?

Ask them who is responsible for each piece of writing so that we can assign blame and compliments accordingly. They did such a shitty job explaining who is who in the team, that I wouldn’t be surprised if Mitsoda’s participation was cut too. This game's development cycle is a black box.

Yeah, right. However misguided his attempts were, he at least tried to cover a niche of games. Whoever comes next could very well just give up on that entirely.

Not that I care either way at this point. Last bit of hope I have for now (that's not indie) is in the Cain/Boyarsky project.

IMO they should give up on it. It's not like nicheness has served them well, on the Codex or anywhere else. If I were inXile I would dispense with any attempt to make Wasteland 3 nostalgic or oldschool. Just make an accessible, fancy-looking "newschool" turn-based RPG (like nuXCOM as an RPG basically) with good story and quests by George Ziets.

Or perhaps it didn't serve them well because they sucked at what they did considering the contrast between the reception of the Kickstarter campaigns and that of the end results. Who knows.

Not sure about "accessible" (slippery slope) but I agree with the overall sentiment here.
