Guys Blizzard fucked up by following the path of nerfing player power massively with barely anything to compensate....... this has been the exact same path that GGG has been walking down since 3.15. Fuck retards that think they know better, GGG actually has proven that they know what they want their game to be and have the conviction to fallow on that. While Chris is at the top and making the decisions PoE is in good hands, never forget he told retards like Asmongold that they want people filtered when opening the passive skill tree, if you find the tree to much- fuck off and play something else.

Actually, GGG went into overdrive on the development of PoE 2 and the upcoming Exilecon (this Friday!) recently. For the past 2 years it felt like they were diverting more and more resources into PoE 2 compared to the previous 50/50 split between PoE 2 and PoE. They are behind on schedule, because they got cucked over hard by New Zealand's retarded Covid policies and also because Blizzard (most likely) has rushed D4 out of the gate in order to get the best possible price out of the Microsoft acquisition.

That's not to say that the live game is trash. On the contrary, some of the "filler" Leagues like Sentinel are held up as one of the best by the players.

Also, his focus on D4 on his channel revolves only about maximum drama for clicks. It would be foolish to dismiss the promotional power these youtubers and streamers have. PoE wouldn't exist today if Kripparrian hadn't been streaming it back in the day.

People want to play what is popular, especially an online game like that. If there is negative buzz around one game and positive buzz around the competitor, they will start flocking to the competitor instead.

Now it's true that D4 wasn't a complete failure on launch the way some people predicted/hoped. But even some off-shoot channel of LinusTechTips covered D4's recent absurd balancing patch and made fun of their campfire chat streams. You can't go more normie than that.

Diablo 2 had it's time and it was great. Let me put it this way... if you're still stuck on that game and using it as the "gold standard" to judge all of these types of games, you're an idiot. D2 has been outdone at this point, more than a few times. It is no longer the gold standard, and I say that as somebody who poured 1000s of hours into it and worshipped it back in the day. I think Diablo 1 is better. D2 is not God. It is not the gold standard.

D4 was originally supposed to come out years ago. Sorry, but PoE 2 is way overdue if you believe their original statements. Not a surprise in gamedev, but since they said originally PoE 2 was supposed to be the answer to D4, it's hard not to believe that D4's delays & then its dramatic implosion lessened the urgency to deliver.
