Guys I can't find the Phoenix Dive skillbook ! I've just started Chapter 2, did I miss it in chapter 1 ?

I want to blow things up with my zombie warrior.

Halp !

:negative:

It's random like all skillbooks. Personally I bought it off the elemental vendor at my homestead once I hit lvl 12 or 13 or so.

I am ashamed of myself.

Apperently i have played 100h without knowing that you can indeed change characters in bartering menu without quitting bartering screen > changing dude > start barter.

Only problem with doing so is that the initial character to start the dialog is the one to which all "comparison" menus are shown. That is, if scarlet was the one that started the conversation, even though you switch to Roderick, it will still compare Scarlets gear when you hover over things.

When you change person in bartering menu it uses bartering skill of person which is talking to shopper.

you can also use F1-F4 to change characters (even when casting healing spells and during other "animation pauses").

Yes, I was just going to point this out. You can change which inventory you are selling from but the person who initiated the dialogue is whose Barter is used (and as a result I only ever barter with one character).

Oh ok i'm not lvl 12 yet so it might explains why I couldn't find it. I figured this one might be hand placed somewhere since I saw some rogue books in the pirate cave.

Yeah don't worry near 60hours here and i barely made Immaculates trial and some scouting near Silverglen . This is one of these games where i feel relaxed by just turning them on. One of those crpgs i could play for years and still be happy to get back.
Even soundtrack is marvellous, i will risk saying that guy who made it should be placed near Kai Rosenkratz and Jeremy Soule as classic of the genre (he made tracks for previous Divinity titles too), it initially transfers me into world of fantasy.
I like Fallout/Wasteland climate too , not to mention other furturistic settings like Shadowrun, but my beloved crpg universe is good old and often naive fantasy one, be it Elder Scrolls, Forgotten Realms, Rivellon, M&M, Dark Eye, Krondor, Brittania or anything similiar, ive found it most relaxing. Already reached age when i don't need always "dark, serious to the bone and grim setting" to feel satisfied ;) . Some ale in cozy tavern near the trail is all i need to be happy ;) .

I did the same, spent 3 fucking hours just in the beach area. But finally my shrink convinced me to pursue happiness venturing forth.

Any of you guys found any high (lvl16+) Marksman skillbooks? If so, what are those? I can't seem to find any. :/

Level 13 skill is the highest I found for rogues, my guess is the same goes for rangers.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Recieved my copy today. Installed it. Had fun.

This game is fucking great. Can't wait to try the co-op with my girlfriend. Already having a blast exploring the first city and stealing anything I can get my hands on undetected.

For the life of me I can't find any fucking unlock scrolls. Do they even exist? I heard they might. Lockpicking as a skill seems utterly useless/underpowered. Even with four points in it there are still numerous chests I can't open.

I found my 2nd Unlock scroll at lvl 15 in the Immaculate Cathedral. So yeah, they're rare.

Haven't seen any high level books for "pyhsical" skills. Warfare got Nulify elements at 15 and thats all.

Damn, that isn't very good. :/ I love both Marksman and Man-at-Arms skill trees a lot, and they're incredibly useful for me, but I was hoping for some REALLY OVERPOWERED stuff at the higher levels :P

Flurry is really overpowered enough!

Is Unlock a Witchcraft skill or something else?
Witchcraft yes, but it's the one skill you can't make a book out of.

Also, there is a couple of magically locked chests that you will need Unlock for, so don't go using it before you need to.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. And I even found a blank Witchcraft book. Oh well. I'm still lugging around the chest of the Source King... which I should probably stop doing as I'm sure the loot inside is level 6. Had a bug in Hiberheim where a lot of the loot in Boreas' castle was level 6ish, too. I'm assuming it locked it in/generated when I visited earlier via the Wishing Well.

I'm loving the game! It's like the old days again, when games were fun.

Anyway, quick build question: I'm playing a lone wolf mage and melee, how should I invest my points with the mage, i.e. which schools are best lategame? I'm finding them all very nice ATM, so I can't decide, but investing in all equally is not really feasible and it's annoying not knowing whether a school gets uber/lackluster spells later on. I'm using the mage more for buffs and CC, because the melee just murders everything mostly. Thanks!

Well me and my friend are doing a mage and warrior lone wolf run. At first I concentrated on hydro and aero, but I've branched out to geo and witchcraft as well. Honestly they are all really good, but I highly suggest you start out with Hydro no matter what. You really want those heal spells. My favorite is Geo and Witch since you can buff the warrior up the butthole and debuff everyone, but like I said earlier, anything will work, and you'll want to branch out eventually for diversity. With Lone Wolf you get so many points so you shouldn't shy away from spending them liberally on diff shit instead of focusing on a few ones.
