To expand further on crafting I've yet to run into a fight where I thought: boy if only I had augmented my weapons/armor I'd have been fine. So, for a first time playthrough (unless you're going for hard right away), I wouldn't bother. Whenever you go back to replay and up the challenge either via increased difficulty or 'lone wolf mode' or both then I'd say crafting/improving your gear is probably necessary; or, at least, helps a great deal.

Whats the difference between normal and hard difficulty? I switched to hard after i killed boss in black cove cavern in 1 turn (the one that supposedly killed some dragons) and i just didnt notice any difference. Kiled Loic at level 10 on first try while he and some of his friends were level 13. Hardest was enemy till now was level 15 goblin merchant at level 11.Bastard casted absorb elements spell and only noticed few turns later that im actualy healing him with elemental spells he was resisting status effects alot no stun/curse/slow/cripple/knockdown only blinded him twice for 1 turn while Loic was perma blinded (3 turns each cast) . Engaged him too close to Silverglen so some level 9-10 cultist and miners joined him but Madora 1 hit killed them all with whirlwind while missing goblin.

Cant augument my weapons yet with essences crafting too low but i used poison potions on weapons few times.

Yes they should are you gay
Gay guys like talking to girls more than straight guys I'd wager. Guys with too many female friends that they weren't fucking were often thought to be gay when I was younger, and you aren't fucking(or even seeing them) on the internet.

You'd still have online nudes and pornography, most of that stuff is run by men.

Girls shouldn't be allowed on the internet.

Sad thing is, I can assure you at least 95% of the people who whined about the art are guys.

You mean gays Comrade; as to cover picture Commissar salutes the attempt to make gaming decent again but its just not enough:

Sadly I must say this game has been the last straw for me… went to buy without reserve as a friend who kickstarted it told me it would be released DRM-free… only to discover upon introducing the disc that it was Steamworks.

I was so enraged I destroyed the disc (and maybe a screen – hopefully not). I really think I’m done with trying to support companies.

That being said, apart from some really rough around the edges elements design-wise (the randomization of sold items being one) what I’ve seen of the game does look really nice.

So… have fun. I won’t.

It is the things that matter least that give us the freedom to vent the most. I am glad you were able to blow off some steam at least. Perhaps you can think of DRM as a sort of release valve?

He is an overreacting ass; that is for sure. And there just so much wrong in his comment:

1. The game *is* DRM free - the retail version just needs a Steam key for the initial install / updates.

2. Why hate Larian/Valve for this? Shouldn't he install complain about his friend that gave bad advice?

3. And is he hates Steam so much, why didn't he just buy the GOG version?

4. The retail box actually states on the side (together with the Minimum requirements) that it requires Steam.

Does someone know how hit chance fully work ? Is it armor based ? evade based ? Does someone found game system math ?
As i showed earlier it takes main weapon stat(minor boost) and lvl(mayor boost) but it takes also something else to calculate %.

It's also supposed to take your Offence Rating or w/e it's called into account, but no, I don't know the formula.

Offence rating is calculated on your Lucky Charm, lvl and main weapon stat. but hit chance ratio is much more than offence rating and evade

So um... High level crafting/blacksmithing? Is there any...?

I got 5 on both, can now do armor enhancement and add tormented souls/etc. Essences seem utterly shit when you have backpack full of rubies.

So any point in raising it higher than this?

So how come my post gets retardo'd but all those posts on the last page can stay?

By the by I'm not surprised Larian's idea of "hard" is a lazy adjustment of accuracy and health values. I'm pretty sure I predicted it even. :P

I don't think there's any true blacksmithing, per se, it's just augmenting existing items. A significant con is the total saturation of craftables, consumables, and materials that make it far too easy to create godlike armor and weapons. For something like DivDiv, it's fine because the combat is derpy Dia-blow. For an incline turn based game it undermines the excellent combat.

Probably because you're a goddamn retard, Roguey.
Black is white, up is down. Giving you less health and making you easier to hit, while giving enemies more health and making them harder to hit is an awesome difficulty adjustment.

Personally, I’m no big fan of things like difficulty and gamespeed sliders and I certainly don’t want to have to put a slider on easy when playing myself. If I have to do that, I consider it bad balancing on part of the developer. It’s up to the developer to ensure that my play experience is a perfect fit.
Swen "genius" Vincke in this topsy-turvy world.

Gamespeed slider is particularly funny considering D:OS's molasses-like animation speed.
