"It is most definitely not shit compared to other action RPGs"

This implies it is an action rpg which, quality aside, it fukkin' isn't. Moran.

It is an action RPG. Also, you really should use the 'fukkin' quote function. Moron.

You just don't see his brilliance. It's of course action RPG as you take actions in game to achieve things. What he really wants is un-action RPG, where he doesn't need to do anything boring like that and just get emotionally engaged.

I thought it gives only half more, not twice as much.

The difficulty complaints are just fucking bizarre. I dropped down to easy just to see what the big deal is, and I was plowing through shit. If the game is too hard, put it on "Easy." If it is still too hard, go take up knitting you fucking idiots.

Forgive me if I missed something but who's saying this game is too hard? Or are you talking about Steamplebs?

Don't lie.

Maybe he couldn't decide on a hairstyle
matching most appropriate face to portrait (they all suck) is at least 5 minutes

I also spent a solid hour investigating how to mod the game for cheating chargen (not the character.txt crap that gets thrown around, you need to make a new class and it won't even let you select the others because the game checks available points at chargen from the another xml file than the classes, so it's shared and doesn't let you select non-matching classes, which is a mistake imo, but whatever)

Also i wish the game at least remembered the last selection on the chargen, redoing characters appearance when you want to try a new build sucks.

Hey, whoa. Is it just me or have load times improved a buttload?

EDIT: Hey, they changed the graphic for Leader in Sight.

Hey, I have a "Summon Pet" in my quickbar! Is this for Pet Pals?

You can, but doing that every time you pick something you want to use ASAP (like books) is gay.

Biggest improvement to inventory for me would be increasing the area, I wish they didn't cram charsheet and inventory on the same screen

Toggle button for sorting, like the chatbox thinguie. But then software devs would have a ethical crisis over to sort everytime the inventory is opened (easy but slower and unnecessary since it was done many times and only is required for new items meanwhile) or do binary insertion of every new item (probably messier).

Until the chief architect bitchslaps them and points out it's only a few thousands things to be sorted at most.
Until a user appears with a bug report where he picked up every pickupable item in the world.

The inventory is garbage anyways. It should be way more limited than it is.

I know when I start up an unfamiliar RPG I read every single option and evaluate them against each other to figure out which would be the most useful, fun, and conducive to my playstyle. This takes a while.

Plus the ~tyranny of choice~.

At first glance they've put in some much needed useability improvements. You can now sort inventory by type, which makes inventory management a lot easier. There's also some other small UI improvements like the leadership buff having a different icon (not sure if this was needed, but I noticed it straight away).

My load times weren't improved but I'm not bothered too much about that. I'm looking forward to seeing what else they've improved.

Also, it is blatantly an action RPG, it just has turn-based combat instead of Diablo hack n' slash. There's barely any narrative to speak of and I haven't come across any alternate solutions to quests yet (except for who you send the unemployed sailors to). Combat and loot are the biggest elements of the game and I can't see how anyone could argue against that. The last few pages of this thread have been excellent for idiot detecting.

Could already do that.

"Also, it is blatantly an action RPG,"

No, it isn't.

Alll irrelevant. By that defintion, the GB games were all action rpgs. LMAO

\Also, this game is HEAVY on the narrative comapred to a typical RPG. Quality may be questionable but it's still there. A, there are may ways to do quests than most RPGs as well. ie. GB games.
