Disney Age: Captain Rook

I'm not even being sarcastic here anymore. It looks like Disney must have dropped their EA bid years ago and then left Bioware holding the bag. Okay, understandable.

Also when you're going to play the game seven times, you can romance seven different companions in it! Codex GOAT!

Just wanted to let you know... If I had the power I'd ban anyone who admits to playing this.
id go even further. id have the CIA kidnap them, which would be 100% legal under my new regime, BUT since im the top of the power pyramid, id play dragon age veilguard in secret

You know what? Taash doesn't look so bad in this trailer. Fierce and tough, but still looks like a woman. She's qunari, so if she looked as dainty as human or elf females, she'd reinforce that trope regarding sexual dimorphism of fantasy races.

That guy with the saints row wings looks so out of place. Did their art director become blind or something?

Everyone's got to have snowflake magic. Even dwarves who according to Origins never had magic capabilities. Or so I recall.

It's actually fun reading through the totally organic human comments on the video. They're all some variation of

I guess they got so traumatized from the initial response that they decided playing fair was for losers.

“As someone who’s been working on Dragon Age for over 15 years, I know just how much our community has been looking forward to this day, and I’m equally excited to share and celebrate that the game will officially launch on October 31,” said John Epler, Creative Director of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. “We wanted to give you the choice to really express yourself, and do that in a world full of adventure and danger. So whether you’re a Warrior, Rogue or a Mage, we can’t wait for you to gear up, gather your party, and set out for another thrilling adventure through Thedas this Halloween.”

Why are you "uniting" the Veilguard? Do they all hate each other? Are they people of importance? It should be just be "recruiting these BG3 rejects."

Good to know they were just one trailer away from the course correction, and this is what the game has always been. I feel more confident about the game’s success now, seems like they finished the right game around the most vacant release window. They needed this and ngl I needed this.
Man this looked like a movie trailer (in a good way), sent me from feeling cautiously optimistic about a series I missed to straight up hyped.
Imagine the difference in discourse if this was the reveal trailer.

I am so excited to fall in love with anither cast of Bioware characters.
This 100% should have been the reveal trailer.

I'm calling it right now, this looks like a GOTY contender.
I’m looking forward to this and I’m pretty new to the series and I gotta say the graphics look amazing

I don't want another Bioware Mass Effect at this point, that trailer looked like Andromeda in all the worst ways. It still looks like they're struggling with the Frostbite engine - Bioware use to have infamously stiff animation but everything post-Inquisition (I didn't play Anthem) just looks uncanny and derpy.

EA's spending lots of money on this, including huge, poorly spaced YouTube ads.

A reminder that BioWare is one of the few true AAA-budget RPG studios.

Interested to see how it pans out.

I forget how aggressively boomer the Codex users are. I suppose you guys have not seen how strongly disliked the trailer was and how many videos and posts were made shiting on it for not feeling and looking like dragon age.

Surprise! The conversation has moved onto the current topic. Which was the release date trailer that happened to be shown today. What is so hard to understand about that?

What the fuck are some of those cheap cartoonish monster designs about? They look as if they've arrived out of a bad knockoff of a Pixar movie.

The art direction generally looks soulless and plastic.
