It has nothing right either, and yet it passes as acceptable or decent even, actually becoming a major staple in crpg market proving that broadening the audience to the lowest common denominator sells. Pandering trash like Failguard is easily found and pushed back against, it's the subversive shits like TOW that bring actual decline, because they get accepted into the fold.

Angry Joe used to be a BioWare fanboy, it means he completely eviscerated DA:V.

I remember him bitching about DA2 that instead of continuation to the first game they made a fantasy mass effect with disgusting and annoying companions. He gave it 7\10 tho.

Tho nowadays most people can see through shit that was considered subtly subversive years ago like TOW.

The "all womben competent, well-intentioned, full of agency, all men either evil or goofy, harmless blobs" trope might've been hard to see for the thicker skulls before but most have caught on by now. IIRC years ago I was having fierce arguments in the TOW thread about whether or not the game is SJW, as we used to say back then. Mostly with the usual suspects like Infinitron who probably still doesn't believe TOW is woke. Probably still doesn't believe there IS such a thing as woke.

The hack sketches are actually kind of charming in being so unpolished, very nostalgic.

And, ironically, easily the most effective video review I've seen in terms of giving the gameplay the boot it deserves as well. The footage of that giant dragon-worm boss fight looks beyond miserable.

The player count is still falling rapidly and hasn't stabilized. This Friday's peak had about 17% fewer players than last week.

So few people have played and reviewed this game that about 250 reviews is enough to move the score one percentage point. Giving away 500 copies of the game would be worth it to make sure the review doesn't become "mixed" before Christmas.

Imagine getting this piece of shit as a gift. Christmas ruined.

That seems to be untrue. Angry Joe completed the aforementioned quest-line. Taash's mother even call her "they". And he still got the ending where Isabela calls Taash "her" when she died.
