It's happening, we've known it's happening since November 2020, we've just been waiting for Capcom to say something about it officially.

I am being overtly negative only so i don't get hurt.

Aka it's not fucking happening. Deal with it

You could be right... Worst case scenario we will have to wait until TGS 2022 for an official announcement

Big games almost never get announced at Tokyo Game Show anymore. I feel like the biggest thing to be announced at a TGS in the last 7 or so years was EDF6. If it wasn't shown here you'd likely have to wait for either The Game Awards in December, or some random State of Play video. But if Capcom is having there own event, they're likely showing it with a number of other things from that leak list that were meant to come out around the same time. TGS now is mostly used to further show off thing that have already been announced. If announced here, and I'd imagine (at the moment) it's set for a 2023 release like all the 2022 games on the leak list have been, (so it kind of need to be announced here) we probably see a deep dive into it at TGS. Capcom is doing its own even so we might also get a nice look at gameplay here too.

It's not going to do justice to the original, no matter what it is. It's 2022.
If there's actually anything there, I honestly hope they cancel it.

no worst case scenario is they make DD2 and it's a skyrimized and streamlined version of Dragon Dogma

No, worst case scenario is they make DD2 and its a mobile/PC cashgrab abomination a la Diablo Immortal.

That's a very likely possibility, it would be wishful thinking at best, naivety at worst to think that they might actually release a new game that builds upon the original, and makes it better. Call me shocked if they actually do that.

Like as a waifu for the victory screen?
It was entirely possible (and happened often enough for the comic below to be made) to end up with Fournival being considered your soulmate by the game since you easily max his relations doing quests and continue to refresh his score late into the game.

Don´t break my heart next week, Capcom.

Next week event will be only about games that had already been revealed.

Tune in on June 13, 3pm PT for around 35 minutes of news and in-depth updates on previously announced Capcom titles.

Now, what could be interesting is tomorrows Summer Game Fest. Initially I thought that they wanted to make announcements on the Sony stream and give more info about those announcements on the Summer Game Fest proper. But now, if they are going to do the latter on next week stream, one has to wonder what they have planned for tomorrow. We also have to take into consideration that Square Enix showed FF XVI at that stream, so it may be that Capcom decided to make the announcement at a later date to avoid any possible loss of "hype" and any kind of comparison with a high profile game of the same genre.

Now, I wouldn't be too optimistic. Is very possible that they either do not announce anything, they only talk about Pragmata and Exoprimal (and maybe MH:Sunbreak) or they just repeat the same things that they showed at the last stream (unlikely, but would put it pass them). I would recommend not to get your hopes too high, but do not discard the possibility either.

Can't wait to hear more about Resident Evil 4 and how much it's been improved since the Gamecube release. Or the PS2 release. Or the PS3 release. Or the PS4 release. Or the Wii release. Or the XB360 release. Or the PC release.

... Someone in Capcom management needs to die. :argh:

Yeah, Fournival is the best waifu. Like all great things in life he's an acquired taste.

Having that supply of maker's fingers and periapts available in Cassardis 24//7 is an insanely good quality of life.[\spoiler]

... and maybe get treated to an announcement or "two"?...

Definitely a reference for Dragon's Dogma "2"

Thought that DD2 would've likely be revelead in the Xbox conference (since that was the case for DMC5)

Oh well... I guess there's always next year
