Body type A/B.
Highly likely the japanese seem to be doing this more often than studios located in Canada/California. Also wouldn't be shocked if it was the exact same one in Street Fighter 6.

Maybe, it's certainly not as easy to make relatively decent looking characters as it was in Dragon's Dogma. I tried to make a foid in the SF6 demo and she ended up looking like a cross between SMA and indian joker.

Bro, nobody likes CAPCOM here. We just like DD 1. You're trying too hard.
is a 'capcom fan' even a thing. are the sonic fans obliged to play resident evil

Sonic is SEGA?

Anyway, I can't believe you don't see how 1942 clearly paved the way for Final Fight and Street Fighter which allowed Capcom to develop the design experience that would inspire Resident Evil and Dragon's Dogma.

When you think about it, Dragon's Dogma is just the latest iteration of Knights of the Round, which itself was a re-skinned Golden Axe.
I thought it was Chronicles of Mystara.

I thought it was Chronicles of Mystara.
I thought the latest one was Dragon's Crown.
Yes, Dragon's Crown,a beat-'em-up released for the Playstation 3 by Vanillaware in 2013, is not only a call-back to the fantasy-themed arcade beat-'em-ups of yore but drawing specifically on the only two D&D-licensed arcade games: Tower of Doom (1993) and Shadow over Mystara (1996). Character progression and customization were added to the usual beat-'em-up formula, the player is accompanied by three computer-controlled party members to simulate a four-player arcade beat-'em-up, and the combat is quite good for the type of game it is. Also features distinctive Vanillaware artwork, some of which are available as Codex avatars:

Vanillaware’s founder (as well as artist and director for most of their games) George Kamitani is a former Capcom employee that worked on Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom.

Dragon's Crown is really interesting because it’s adding in even stronger RPG elements to what Capcom did. It’s basically beat ‘em up as a hack and slash game. And in keeping with the dungeon crawling theme you actual need to have a full party at some points. When I started playing me and a friend would play through it. After a bit I’d play through it alone like a normal beat ‘em up game. But at some point I hit a wall that was like: Oh, they’re really going all in on this dungeon crawler thing because they expect me to have a full party of characters to keep going. You can go alone, but you’ll need to grind, and the grind can get boring with the set stages they have. Game really fucking need randomly generated levels.

Playing Dragon’s Crown Pro and Odin Sphere Leifthrasir (and being aware of Grand Knights History; which I haven’t played, but I do have Grand Kingdom) made me wonder if the Darkest Dungeon team had been playing Vanillaware. Because there’s a lot of those game in Darkest Dungeon.

It seems like a few of Capcom employees were into D&D, Wizardry, and Fighting Fantasy game books. Dragon’s Crown got a whole Japanese exclusive DLC game made to look like a Fighting Fantasy book.

The party resting cooking segments in Dragon’s Crown are so good looking I can’t believe they don’t function like the designated chef areas in Odin Sphere. Game has this whole fantastic looking mini-game that it’s completely possible to not ever engage with.

If any other game would do this kind of thing I'd be more miffed and point out the pic doesn't have any griffins, but with DD it's kinda charming.

Different monsters inhabit the world of Dragon's Dogma 2. Be it Goblins or Griffins, always be ready for a fight!
