Well shit, I should have stuck it out then. Not sure why I quit playing. I know the bull always annoyed me because the fight consisted of running around in circles a lot. I probably got frustrated and took a break and just forgot about it.
Sneak behind it after dropping from the rooftop, use the firecrackers and kill it once it falls down. Basically you give it a heart attack and then it becomes deathblow-able.

There's way too much Conan Exiles to do. If I ever get bored with it Sekiro will be near the top of my list.

Freaking Mohg. More than 20 tries at this point and I can't get him. No other Boss gave me so much trouble. What's interesting: he actually seems easy. His is not fast, his attacks are always telegraphed, there is no reason to take so many tries. I can't put my finger on the reason why I can't beat him - I think he has a 'funny' delay with some of his attacks, that messes up my dodging. I can block him easily with my Greatshield, but don't have enough time to block and follow up with an attack with my current slow weapon. And not sure if it's only me, but aren't his hitboxes strange at times? I don't remember any other boss who hit me so many times in situation when I was sure I dodged properly. Second phase doesn't help as well - you see shit, everything is on fire, he leaves AoE on ground with each attack, and half of the floor is burning. At the same time, he is still 'fair' - so I refuse to do the easy mode and use a summon or ashes.

On the other hand - Malekith, what an amazing fight. Intense, fast, aggressive, but still fair and exciting. Probably top 3 of the boss fights for my at this point.

Yeah Mohg is hardest so far by a large margin for me too. I hate that second phase, I usually have trouble dealing with bosses that cover floor in burning shit. Just triggers the shit out of me. He actually forced me to turn around and explore some more and level up before I retry him. I have this goal of doing him without any summon now, he got me butthurt enough. I ended up doing Ranni's quest and few more dungeons. Now stopped at this annoying Black Knife Assassin town in Consecrated Snowfields.

Mohg is just nothing compared to the real bosses of the game though. He is hard enough for certain builds I guess but compared to Malenia for example? Please.

Malenia - sure, she is in a different league, but other than her? Nobody was comparably difficult for me, and I've just beaten Maliketh, so probably getting close to the end. I think Mohg is the worst for pure Str builds, and even worse for those with slow / collosal weapons. But, will try few more times I guess.

(Apart from Mohg) you basically only have Hulk Hogan, Lady-man and the Beast to go.

So i decided to just start my SL1 run lmao.

I must be a glutton for punishment. It's funny last time i saw Limegrave was so long ago it feels like i just started a brand new game.

While i can understand that most of the arguments around those games are focused on the combat, since combat is the primary characteristic of this series, there's something to be said about the amount of toys to play around with this game offers compared to previous From titles, which makes it feel more like an RPG. Now that i know the game inside out it's actually pretty fun to come up with every strategy and every exploit to get around the limitations of the Wretch starting stats. Unlike my first run, i'm also going to make extensive use of the crafting system since i figured out most of the shit is super easy to farm except for anything that has rare materials (which are also not bad once you reach the end game. 30% drop rate on arteria leafs from the giants at the end not bad you can just rot a bunch of them in sequence it's why i started using them like candy on my last videos). You can stock on enough mats for more than 10 fire greases just by making a short trip around the shack where you meet the first Hunter. I also just nuked the night bird with holy pots which are also extremely easy to farm. Blood greases actually stack with weapons with native bleed properties on them it's pretty fun to swap around so many tools depending on the situation (not the least since you have no stat commitment with the Wretch so you can just play around with everything). I was so bent on doing everything "legit" on my first run that i missed out on a lot of this stuff.

Since i already shared my day one purchase playthrough with friends and the forum here, i'm not going to be on any pressure to rush through the game to finish it. I'll also won't bother recording anything other than primary bosses or any boss that drops a remembrance. I did stupid shit like the Crystallians trio already no point in recording another one, SL1 or not.

BTW, i've been actually playing for a few days already and even as SL1 you get summoned all the time, including by other SL1 dudes. In a couple of days i have around 40 rune arcs already challenge run my ass i met so many SL1 people i lost count. I got a feeling i may even connect with them later in the game but for now i'm keeping my weapon at +3 to stock up on rune arcs as i hate grinding and rats have an abysmal drop rate.

BTW just to up the challenge slightly i'm going to pretend i have no idea where all the stuff is and just use whatever i find along the way. I could easily make a bee line to the Radagon's Soreseal for instance but i'm not gonna do that. I wanna try coming up with fresh strategies as new gear drops bit by bit.

I've finally beaten Mohg, after like 30 tries or so. Wasn't able to make it with my usual setup (Large Club + Golden Greatshield), for last few tries I went on full offensive with dual wielded colossals (Guts + Grafted) - and still barely made it. I think he gave me more trouble than any of the Souls bosses, including O&S, Friede, Gael or Orphan of Kos. At the same time, they didn't cross the line with this boss (outside of annoying AoE everywhere in the second phase), so it kept me motivated to try. It also seems that after 150h+ of trusty service, my Large Club is not enough at the end of the game - not enough damage for the amount of time required for each swing. But still an amazing weapon for non-Boss encounters, mostly due to great moveset, reach and stagger ability.

198h on the clock (total playtime) and I still have few bosses to go (exploring every nook and cranny). One of the few games I ever played that will cross 200h mark. I would actually pay $120 for this, with all the content it gave me. And I'm already thinking about another playthrough.

Spent about 3 hours dodging that Mohg faggot today, just killed him. I feel no sense of achievement, just glad this piece of shit fight is finally over with. Must've spent at least 6 hours total on him, if not more. Stopped using rune arcs too after wasting 20 of them. Next time I encounter a boss as annoying as him I won't even bother beating him properly, I'll just use summons. Didn't feel like I got good at his second phase at all, just kept banging my head against the wall until I finally got lucky. I am sure with more DPS oriented build he would've been way less annoying but I was using only single Rivers of Blood katana with 600 AR. After he transitioned to second phase he would always have around 60-70% health left even if I spammed weapon art with full stamina and FP bar during his entire heal animation. And from there most of the time it felt like all I was doing was drinking flasks while barely being able to land few hits. Fuck this boss very much.

Fuck me i'm mowing down everything without even trying i think i got too good at this game.

I just did the Fringefolk Hero’s Grave without dying once. I even sparred with the two Scions without using the fire statue trick and then did a no hit run with the Ulcerated Tree boss (having done three in a row with my first toon i guess doing one is child's play).

I keep getting summoned over and over as well. Around 70 rune arcs and going. I think by the time i hit Stormveil i'll have at least 99 which might be enough. I tried Weeping Peninsula and there were zero connections there, but i guess by that point the only people i can connect with are other SL1 people and i would have to upgrade my weapon past +3 to even reach them. Rogier's rapier drops after killing Godrick so i have until then to farm as many as i can to reduce grinding if i'll have to farm rats for them later on.

Haligtree pretty cool location. Until I meet the bosses I guess..

Ok Loretta was easy at least, down on first attempt. I'm sure it's just calm before the storm though.

You beat Fringefolk with your SL1 Wretch character, right out of the gate, without dying once, with beating both the Scions and without being even hit by the Tree?

You should stop playing nao, there's nothing more you can do with the game.

Yeah time for LS to start uploading videos of him doing Sekiro bosses with perfect dodges and no blocking/deflecting.

Ho no, not out of the gate. Been playing for a while and been collecting some gear already.

To be honest, it didn't even occur to me to do it out of the gate. I'm not exactly fishing for challenges (i did kill the Scion in the tutorial but the fucker had it coming), just going with the flow and not trying too hard to cheese the game either, just using what i'm finding along the way and not trying to make a bee line to items across the map before getting there naturally (i WILL make a bee line to whatever bearing has the [3] upgrade mats though. Grinding for those was the worst thing i've ever had to do in this game. Never again all the smithing stones from [1] to [8] were fairly easy to farm EXCEPT for the [3] ones).

I was just marveling at how good i actually got compared to when i started. I guess the late game bosses just trained the shit out of me.

Been there with Sekiro. First playthrough was a bloody ass rape, kongoid style. Second run was much easier and on the third one I just waltzed through, except the Demon, that one is a motherfucker everytime.
