Okay, I actually like some of the new creatures like that crocodile (I think it is one), the weird worm thing, the mutant crickets, and that swarm of little bugs.
But for the rest, I know Fallout always played some things for laughs, but this just feels so out of place sometimes and it is really not that a post apocalyptic theme park could not work.

Also Nuka Cola is also an analog of Disney? Sorry but that is just stupid. Just come up with some a better mascot character and theme.

Oh and the paddle ball weapon is Fallout 3 level of stupidity. Who the hell thought that such a weapon would make sense?!

So basically Bethesda gave up even trying to make a decent RPG out of Fallout 4 (knowing full well they are incapable) so they decided to go full Saints Row The Third level of retardness? It's like when Volition realized they couldn't seriously compete with Rockstar & GTA5, so they just went for the retard gamer demographic instead. Pitiful.

Basically, things don't look good for Fallout 5.

Or TES6 for that matter.

Avellone might be on board for Fallout 5, or TES 6 for that matter. I'm reserving my judgement.

You guys rage even though Vault-Tec DLC allows you to build your own Vault after Nuclear War.

Well at least people have yet another argument to despise Bethesda.

It would be funny to see the huge shitstorm if they came out and announced that they were going to stop making sequels and keep adding DLC to Fallout 4 for an indefinite amount of time.

Sure buddy, sure.
Well at this point I am pretty convinced that scientists have been gene splicing a flying pig, and that Hell is frozen over and that Satan is currently trapped in a massive glacier.
But even that is not sufficient to make me actually consider that Avellone would work on Fallout 5 or TES6.

I'm not taking grasps at thin air here. Avellone is currently working on Prey from Arkane Studios which is a Bethesda subsidiary, he's also made this tweet in reply to working on an Obsidian Fallout project (which he says he'd rather work with Bethesda at the source) https://twitter.com/chrisavellone/status/689757969827790848

Man the new survival mode is pretty hard. I never knew I relied so much on quicksave/quickload.

Bethesda should really create their own IP this time around. They only need to tackle space operas. In that field, their only enemy would be Bioware, and Andromeda is bound to be a trainwreck of epic proportions (the numerous delays speak for themselves).

But Bethesda has been using the same tools for 14 years now. I don't think they are actually capable of doing something new or different. I don't even care if the games are laughably easy, just give me something that looks like it was made by human beings with feelings.

Funnily enough, they may be tackling space operas, although it wouldn't be a Mass Effect type game since Bethesda don't really put all their effort into story. It's called Starfield, the trademark has been registered since 2013.

In regards to lack of change, there are two main things preventing them from changing that were preventing that. One was the tight release schedule, as soon as one game was done the design for the next was at a point where they were able to just jump into production, major engine development would inhibit that release schedule, hence why I think they're saying the Elder Scrolls 6 hasn't begun development, they're making a game on the Creation Engine to stick to a release schedule while allowing their new engine team to develop TES 6 technology.

That being said, it'll probably still have the Creation Kit attached to it or at least a very new version that is similar in design. The Creation Kit is a tool that they are familiar with and changing workflow or tools to a great degree may inhibit the development process.

Don't worry, they will be as cartoonish as possible, they will try to scam you more obviously than those cultists in Boston and they will also have lore-inconsistent notes scattered around the camp.

Just did their quest, it was dumb, but largely inoffensive, they're not a major part of the general scheme of things it's just for a side quest.
