Another mod i wish i had installed form the start:

https://www.mediafire.com/file/biucyi9fazhm8gv

It's beyond me why they capped the cutscenes at 30 FPS. It's in game engine animations, not an actual movie come on now.

Reguarding when to postpone quests, is there such a thing as quests that expire without you having them picked up? Timed quests is one thing, quests that just fail without you even know about them is another.
To my knowledge, the only quest timing matters for is the one where you're given a horse, right after the hunting quest.

Well, it's not just that there's also the "roleplaying" factor. How to balance side quests and still keep to the logic of what Henry would likely do given the story. Even if you can pause the main quest mechanically it just feels wierd if you are putting yourself in the shoes of Henry, i mean in principle on top of in fact.

After Baptism of Fire i spent three days organizing my gear, selling my shit and crafting pots for future quests (i'm doing alchemy manually because i get a ton of potions for the materials used and it takes a lot of in game time). A few days of resting after the big battle is expected but now Henry would logically seek out Razdig first thing. But if i do that, will i be locked into the main quest again without an opportunity to do side quests? That's the balancing problem i'm having with this game.

Which, for the record, i don't mind in principle. While i DO find timed quests annoying ever since the one in Fallout given that i prefer to absorb content gradually and i never been a fan of rushing through games, it does presents an interesting challenge, so much so there's even an achievement for completing a lot of side quests as if the devs did it on purpose on making it hard to squeeze them in while the main quest unfolds.

BTW, is there a reason why the frame rate drops massively while riding horse? With my settings i can walk around Rattay at 80 FPS no problem but riding horse through it and it goes down to 40 FPS.

The big battle also went from 70 FPS to 30 FPS in a pinch but that i expected. Not sure what the deal is with the horse.

Just reduce the shadows, and you ought to be fine.

I set the game at very high than manually took down shaders and shadows to medium. Object quality also seems to have an impact and i'm not sure what this setting even does or what it changes.

As for the rest, nothing i do makes a difference. I can set all other settings to ultra and nothing much changes. Game is mostly fine running at 70+ FPS at all times for the most part but Rattay is still struggling sometime and to set everything at medium to get through Baptism of Fire with perfect fluidity.

I also tried various configs and "optmized" mods on the net and none of them changed anything. I see them mentioned all the time when googling i guess people really love their placebo?

It's NPCs. When you're riding a horse you move faster, so riding through town on a horse = game has to quickly load new NPCs = shit hits the fan.
I don't recommend lowering shaders to medium though, that setting actually has a noticeable effect on how things and characters look.

Lmao, the Old Whore quest. I knew something was fishy about her but i was curious how the quest was going to end. I expected her she would just bolt what i didn't expect was she would just go on a murder spree.

So i reloaded and just sic Mutt at her after turning in the last quest. Hey.

interesting, wonder if the devs have accounted for such a case? check if the massacre still happens or not lol

Sadly, it seems they didn't account for it. You don't get the dialogue with Andrew about the murders, however, once you get to the house there's blood everywhere and the people there are missing.

This is different from what the wiki says though:

https://kingdom-come-deliverance.fandom.com/wiki/Old_Whore

Of course, i didn't wait for her to leave i just sent Mutt while she was still standing so maybe that's why the outcome is different. Gonna try reloading and trying again to kill her when she actually leaves.

[EDIT] So killing her while she is leaving DOES trigger the dialogue from Andrew but unlike what the wiki says the people are still dead.

Ho well, i'll kill her just for the fuck of it.

looking at those notes I'd just let her live, no need to fail a quest to trigger my OCD, besides it seems to result in a bugged resolution anyway

Once you turn in the last item the quest is complete reguardless of what you do. So trying to save the family after that doesn't matter there's no failing the quest since its done. I don't know what conditions i had to satisfy to save those people but in my head canon i did what i could to prevent it even if the game didn't aknowledge it. Moving on i guess lol.

Found another mod i may try:

https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/545

I actually minda like that encounters are rare as its more realistic that way so a small boost is preferrable to the big boost provided by other mods. Now all i need is a mod that halves the xp gain, even with the numbskull perk.

BTW, talking about OCD. Apparently if you brew a potion you can't learn it from a book anymore. I followed a youtube video to brew bane poison and now i can't learn the recipe from the book since its already learned, which means the book will forever have that star on it. It's stupid but its making my autism flare up.

I recommend saving before doing that one. Last we checked Lust is still a sin.

It's mainly HER lust tho.

She's an adultress, but Henry would be a pornoi for going along with it.

Lmao, like, lol, i totally used Al-Buraq to win the race then switched to that one that looks like Pebbles to get to the finish line.

I mean, technically. Al-Buraq is from Neuhof so its technically totally legit and was not cheating.

Nooooooo i have one dead cuman on my combat log WTF. There goes the Merciful achievement. I reloaded all my saves but in order to fix it i have to go so far back its not worth it. And i think i know how i fucked up too, chocking someone as they are about to die of poison counts as a kill. I saw that happen a few times that they dropped dead while i was holding them in my arms and it counted as a kill and i guess i must have fucked up one of those as i don't remember killing anyone in any other way.

Guess i can just respect my perks now and go full murder. I think once i'll finish the game i'll use one of those saves from Nexus mods to get the achievement as it's not worth trying again. I ain't gonna redo the Bandit/Cuman camp and Baptism of Fire again like this. Took a tens of reloads to get though those without killing anyone once was enough.

God sees everything and that's how he punishes you for reloading your kills, murderer.

So i banged Lady Stephanie. This time cinematic cuts tastefully at the right time. Tempted not to bother reloading. Fucking up the Merciful achievement deflated my resolve to bother with the rest anymore. It was going SOOO well. Hilariously, who do i meet as soon as i get out of her room? Sir Davish lmao.

BTW, now that i can kill people the game has become a hundred thousand times easier. I still stealth around but i no longer have the looming threat of enemies waking up after being choked. Still, it's a refreshing change of pace i met a group of guards fighting bandits and this time i jumped in like i was fucking zorro, got the rep for helping them and got out with the loot in a flash. No reloading five times becuase i accidentally killed someone.
