There used to be another great tournament video from a few years ago, maybe 2018 or 2019, with very skilled Anji, Justice, Testament and Zappa (AGF, Hotta, Kesuke and Matsui I think) but it doesn't show up when I search on Youtube anymore. It'd be nice if tournament videos and streams could be archived somewhere safe. Maybe there is one already that I don't know of. keeponrock in doesn't seem to have it.

Frosty Faustings will happen this weekend, its an american tourney though, I doubt any japanese players will come.

So there actually was a japanese player attending, it was Kedako and spoiler alert... he won.

Random observations, everyone still wears masks in 2023 america, there were multiple trannies on stream and the casters seem to refer to everyone as "they" just to be safe.

Streaming became extremely gay, you would be hard pressed to find any kind of semi-offical event that hasn't transformed into some kind of rainbow vomit.

I know this is a bit controversial and it's probably the opinion of someone that isn't really into Tekken but I wish they'd just axe half the roster. There's way too much shit to learn in this game and a lot of characters are boring and barely played.

I liked her old hair-style more (and no glasses) but I can see the appeal. :bounce:

With Team Khronen taking the big fat nerf bat up their skinny asses, has Team Art of Fighting snuck into second place among the best set KoF XV teams?

(yes, also let's admire this cool picture by Marisa Oh. Makes me wish we got KoF characters in Invisible Inc)

More seriously, Robert and King are just two of the easiest characters on the roster to learn to play competently. Makes the autist in me almost want to put in the time to learn Ryo to complete the team... almost.

Got a few KoF games in the Steam sale. Never was a fan of KoF XIII but it was almost free, so whatever. KoF XIV I honestly skipped, so I just want to try it. KoF XV is okay and I like the roster. My main Shermie is there too. But the fuck, is her model obscene. She looks like one of those nigger whores with the botox in her ass and hips. She practically looks like one of those weird thicc girl fetish hentais. More proof that 2D is superior to 3D.

Former Marvelous executive vice president Toshinori Aoki and former BlazBlue series producer Toshimichi Mori have announced the establishment of Studio Flare, a new studio based in Tokyo with funding from NetEase Games.
Aoki will serve as Studio Flare’s president and CEO, while Mori will serve as its development producer and executive vice president.
The studio’s first game has yet to be announced, but it is currently hiring 2D artists, 2D background artists, 3D artists, and server and infrastructure engineers. Visit the official website for more information.
Get the full press release below.
Toshinori Aoki and Toshimichi Mori are pleased to announce the establishment of new game development company named Studio Flare, Inc. in Tokyo. With knowledge and expertise from their past projects, Studio Flare will deliver new game experiences to global audiences. The company also has received support from NetEase Games, the gaming division of NetEase, Inc.
In his past career, Toshinori Aoki has served in executive management roles at several video game companies, including Marvelous Inc. where he previously served on their board of directors.
Toshimichi Mori was a producer of BlazBlue, a beloved player-versus-player fighting game supported by a strong community. His most recent role was at Arc System Works, where he also served on the company’s board of directors.
Studio Flare has an intention to create games with an edgy feel that bring excitement to hardcore gamers. We will start developing original games for console platforms, with a small but highly talented team based in our studio in Gotanda, Tokyo.

Shermie is just gross. She is supposed to be this French high class escort looking femme fatale, but instead they gave her thunder thighs and a black woman's ass. Many of the other female fighters have stupid designs too. Mai is still the same hot piece of ass, so there is that. King has a stupidly big head. Blue Mary is okay. At least they did not give us the big headed child aliens of XIII.

My favorite fighting game (also maybe the only game I couldn't beat but wanted to):

It was called Panza Kickboxing on PC, Amiga. Video is the SNES version that came later and got some tweaks, I don't know if it's better or not. You make a fighter and choose their moves from a big list, v cool. Unique control method too which is awesome. The health is represented by the lights but they don't go out by just pounding on each other. It does it based on how good the attack was timed and if the other character defends on time or not. If you do a great attack it can knock 2 or 3 lights out in one go.

Well, there's always Luong I guess.

I'm personally not a huge fan of how Yuri's face looks like an alien and Athena's face looks like a blobfish. But they did good work with B. Jenet and a few others. Incline compared to a lot of other contemporary FGs.

I'm not a long-time player of KOF but from what I've played I think most characters looked best in 2002 UM era.
