Would buy Empyrion if it wasn't Early Access game. Looks great for now but i have this little rule that i set myself like year or two ago that i shouldn't spend money on unfinished games because i will burn out myself on half finished game and when it will release i will play it less than eaarlier.

So did you pirate the Early Access game this thread is about?

Unfortunetely not. Went black on it since like 1 year ago and up until release i saw only few trailers.
But i am not really mad about it, more like disappointed. From start i expected not a game but more of Space Engine type of experience.

It kind of is SE like "game" though a lot less than i expected. Still with further updates to game (if it is true what hello says after all this shit).

It isn't worth 60$ but something like 10-20$ at this stage.

Have someone tried Rodina, Pulsar, or Evochron Legacy?
was reading about rodina on the steam page..anyway there is something I don't really understand that people keep mentioning and developers like to often brag about, why the fuck do people give a shit if there are 'loading screens' or not? An entire game with no loading screens only means to me that is is obviously fucking shallow as all fuck. Waiting a couple seconds to have a deeper, more meaningful experience seems worth it to me, but maybe there is something I am stupidly not understanding?

Generally it would mean that all the systems are integrated into each others and aren't a collection of (complex) mini-games and subsystems. Level loads, conversely, are supposed to mean that certain modes of gameplay are stitched on top and need a complete shift from the previous mode to function. In theory, seamless integration of system should provide for more complex mechanics, but unfortunately it very often leads to the opposite because it simply means having to integrate too many systems with each others.

From my personal experience, seamless worlds are more immersive. Gothic 1 and 2 have a few loading screens, and Gothic 3 is fully seamless IIRC. Can't say these games are shallow. In fact, I always preferred them to the TES series.

Is the multiplayer in Empyrion just co-op with a friend kind of thing? Or can you play with a lot of people on the same planet mmorpg-style?

Why are there so many of my country here?
Psst, hey buddy, I've got what you need: 2D, 3D, space-sim, sandbox, open world, trading, pirating, exploration, text quests, RPG, RTS, cheeki-breeki, AI simulation, you name it. It's better than anything Goodbye Games will come up with.
Don't bother. The combat encounters in that game are garbage. You get a sea of enemies and the only thing you can do is kite and pelt them with rockets.
If you are looking for a 2D Space Sim you are better of with Starsector.

JESUS FUCK WHAT IS UP WITH THE MOUSE CONTROL AND THE LAG... OH, GAWD, THE LAGGGGG...

This games runs worse than any modern AAA game, everything takes like 5 seconds to react, and everything is sooooo slooooooow.
How can they fuck up so badly?

Lol problem with NMS case is that head of studio repeadly lied to people with latest lies right in fucking patch notes when studio says they "reduced" planet spin, twitter message when head says that in recent stream of NMS he watched someone played he said that that someone saw other player (so fast wow !).

Features get cut all the time from games problem is when you cut out door from car and you want to sell that car without mentioning that you cut out door.

I enjoy NMS for what it is currently but i have no illusions that their game isn't anywhere close to what head of studio said in interview and even suggested live on camera playing some build of game.

" You know most of games physics are 'faked' they use skyboxes and trick for planet rotation. Out game will have real physics with real sun and planets orbiting them, no skyboxes !"

Proced to release game with skyboxes and 0 planetary orbits or physics.

The laugh is on you Mr. Perkel. We told you from day one that this was going to be bs.

Coop and pvp with a max number of players on a server of 200 players, you will never see that many online although.

Evochron Legacy is good. Has the potential to become the best space sim out there if the developer manages to put a lively universe into it.

So there was a new update on GOG, just fixing some crashes that I never personally experienced but whatever, so I gave it another 5 hours or so trying to find a game somewhere. I mean fuck, 60 bucks, that's gotta mean something right? But, it just isn't there.

The mouse acc is still crap. It still drops frames on occasion. Someone suggested a fix by lowering AA filtering to 1x. Well that doesn't do squat far as I can tell. And a SHITTY AS HELL game ends up looking even worse. Jesus fucking christ.

So anyway, I just stuck to the random planet you start on, gathered minerals, made 700k+ in money, enough to almost buy a 22 slot ship, upgraded envo suit to 19 slots - 20 being max (lolololol). Got I think 20+ upgrades I haven't put to use because they're laughable. Also learned 20 or so words in some V-language. And in conversations I still at most understand two words. So I'm guessing there are atleast a few hundred words per language. Which is retarded considering the word rate you learn is 1 per monolith/stone on average. If I were to skip to another planet, I'd be doing THE EXACT SAME SHIT AGAIN. Only to eventually reach the center of the galaxy having done THE SAME DUMB SHIT REPEATEDLY, to start again, in another galaxy, same as the previous galaxy, only in different colors. IF YOU GET ANY ENJOYMENT OUT OF THIS 'GAME' THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU. SERIOUSLY. There is no way this game took longer than 6 months of development (and that's me being generous) and the remaining 3 and a half years (?) were spent jerking off.

Everything in this... 'game' is stretched out and designed to take as long as possible to give the illusion that there's shit to do. Well there's shit to do, but it's repetitive as fuck and offers nothing of interest whatsoever.

60 BUCKS FOR THIS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS. 60 BUCKS.

If I were to compare this to a Bethesda game, I'd call Beth retarded. This though is some kind of otherwordly of retarded.

Guess this game is early access and everything would be fine if it costed 20$ also.... but thanks to Sony they had to pull 60$ tag

I can't understand the kind of relationship between Sony and HG. It's developer/publisher or developer/ PR managment or what? What's the interest for Sony in this game? Do Sony get its cut from every sold copy? Did Sony found the game in some manner?

You can't fix this game. It doesn't just miss some features but core system elements.

They basically have to remade the game.

Possibly they went to Sony for money, Sony heard the plug and thought - Holy fuck this guy is a bullshit artist extraordinaire. Let's slap a 60 dollar price tag on it and sell it on hype, not like our reputation is total garbage already or anything!

So Sony is the publisher, it's not an indy game but AAA blockbuster and the price is justified?

Officially Sony was doing PR, and Hello Games has funded the game on their own, and considering how much money they put into marketing, I could understand from where 60$ are coming from (demos, trailers, interviews, soundtrack, etc.). Sony had published Helldivers and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, but they cost only 20$, and they weren't as hyped as NMS.

One of the creators of EGttR said that Sony wasn't a good partner to work with, so maybe Sean's balls were more fragile than a pair of quail's eggs, but still that's seems to be a lot of bullshit even for them. The guys is always like under a strong influence of an unspecified amount of heavy drugs.
